ok everyone who doubts the song is about LSD. Go to wikipedia and type the title. You'll find that lennon started the idea with a picture his son gave him but influence of LSD trips took over and transformed the song. Lennon couldn't show up to influence the song most of the time becuase he was to high on LSD at that exact time.. Look it up if you must!

I agree with lovejohnlennon. John's son, Julian, came home one day with a drawing of a woman flying around. He said it was, "Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds". John thought that it was beautiful and wrote a song about it. I have to admit the lyrics may have been devised under drugs, but the song was not about LSD. Even though the title forms the acronym, John did not notice it until after the album was published.
