Ours is an '06 Harley 1200 custom. Times were in the 7.8 sec. range (1/8 mile track) as I never got a good hole shot all day. Either slipping the back tire or lifting the front depending on rider position. Usually hooks very well so something was weird with the track.
Stock 1800, I ate one at our local county fairgrounds too, he didn't like it much. This guy was pretty good about it, and if you listen at the end you'll here he won because it was a bracket race. He was closer to his dial in by .04 sec., I was leaving over a second after him. The VTX's sure do nice burnouts though!
VTX won, Harley (me) had a bad start but almost ate the VTX anyways.

That was a real surprise that the Harley went so fast. If it was a 1/4 mile it would have surely won.

@thekkl The Harley did win
surrynet 8 months ago
@surrynet Tim Allen was running the Harley. It said the win goes to Elden, the one sponsored by Pepsi.

@thekkl Which one are you saying would have one if it was a 1/4 mile?
Did you see how fast the Honda caught up with the Harley ? ?
InsanityHere 5 months ago
@InsanityHere They said the Honda was in the Pepsi lane. The Honda started offf ahead and the Harley almost caught up with it on time.

Sorry, I've got the need for speed. Don't own a stock anything and build them myself.

Compare stock 1200 custom to stock VTX on Drag Times and tell me you ate a VTX again. LOL 8.3 for the HD and 7.3 for the VTX 1/8 mile. LOL

Our Harley was hitting 96mph in the 1/8th, not bad considering I couldn't leave the line for crap that day.
