to me there is NO DISCUSSION, I played Delta Force, Resident Evil, GTA, Medal Of Honor, Call Of Duty, Kane & Lynch, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and the list goes on. But SOCOM IS THE BEST GAME EVER !!!
And this is my opinion, after comparing all those shooting games, since the first Socom for PS2, and im not changing my mind!
I miss the good ol days with Socom 2. It was and still is my favorite shooter all time, the gameplay was awesome, until they stopped working on the servers and cheaters and lag ruined the game. I got to admit thought, the game had his issues with many glitches and bugs, but damm it was an awesome game. If it was up to me, they should just fix socom 2 with an gfx upgrade and the bug/glitches and lag in the game but keep the awesome gameplay features, and ill start playing again right away!
Zipper interactive kind of failed us letting this other company produce the game. The graphics are so so and the gameply is horrible they copied off the ghost recon style which is kind of stupid socom had its own style of play which i thought was great it made it unique not like every other shooter you play. I think if zipper would of put the game out some of us wouldnt of been so disappointed. Hopefully the next socom will be done right.
I hate that they rated this game a 6.5 because it does not have a single player.. i love this game ..COD is for little kids. My little brother plays cod4 all of the time hes 12 and crying all the fucken time.. on socom everybody is mature and not fucken retarded like on cod. socom takes way more skill
No actually, graphically this game slightly better then COD4 with sharp design, detail and hig reso textures, the maps are well designed specific for the multiplayer that works really well and fun to play. definitely on of best looking console game!

Im judging by what they have changed already. Unranked community lobbies, knifing, and sprinting will ruin this game out the gate. It just keeps getting worse as we get closer to release. I know more about socom and what it should be then what you will ever understand. I have had 1, 2, and 3 from launch. Most people never even played the first one in its prime before the cheaters.
It was the best gaming experience I have ever had. Some of the best times in my life were spent on socom 1 and 2 to a lesser extent. Some may say this is sad, but I dont care. I want my Socom back. I dont want a 3rd person COD4. That is exactly what this is shaping up to be.

Im pretty sure you are judging on how it looks and probably by what others say about it too, Because i dont think you've played it yet buddy. Why don't you go find another game to play.. Or better yet! Since you hate the features why don't you make a sequal to this and have add the "socom 2 feel" you speak of. And in regards of the cheaters.. They will always be around man. You, me or anyone else cant do a thing about it.

And plz dont complain about juggernaut, because this is an entirely different game. All you have to do is aim for the head!! It's funny, cuz it turns out that the people who bitch are the ones who suck... And plenty of people can back up that "fact".

u stupid? look at how stift the gameplay is...u dont need to play it to know that its different..i guess this is their way of putting an end to all the quick snipers and freestyle abilities..say hello to another version of GRAW...all socom fans will get use to it..n i hope they still have the ghillie suit.

I'll give it a week and there will be so many bugs, glitches and exploits happening during online play, that it will just make you sit back and shake your head wondering why this took so long to get released in the first place. Also, during online play, if the radar has "dots" showing the enemy's position (like Call of Duty 4 and Rainbow Six Vegas) I'll probably punch a freakin hole in the wall.
