I don't doubt that the Perkins injury hurt the team, but the officiating was absolutely disgusting, as it usually is in favor of the Lakers bigtime. I love Perkins toughness inside but he brings nearly zero offense to the floor. I understand why you say the loss of Perkins was why they loss, but in my opinion, the officiating was terrible and cost Boston that championship.

Well I see your point, but I think the officiating wasn't that bad until the final 4 minutes of the game. It's true Perkins isn't an offensive threat, but he was their main (and best) source of rebounds. The Lakers out rebounded the Celtics by a margin so high it was embarrassing. Kobe Bryant himself had 15 rebounds! 15! And yet the Lakers still barley pulled out only winning by 4. Plus Perkin defended Bynum better then Rasheed or Glen Davis did. But I still get your point.
