WHACHOO TALKIN BOUT WILLIS!?! BULLSH*T THERE'S NO DIRTY BOXING!!
there lacing, which can rip on eyebrows, and lips. there's getting resin in the eye, which speaks for itself. there's dangerous "chop punching" which is a DQ in the ring. and there's ankle tearing in the clinch, which is done in the ring with those shoes. all of which can only be done with gloves in a ring fight boxing situation, which thereby makes it "fightin dirty" cuz they aint in the rules but the ref cant catch it.

BJJ, Boxing, Karate, and so on 52 may be a system useful to MMA competitors. Any real martial artist would see this. I would not discredit 52, while I'm sure its not the perfect martial art. Still I can admit it may give a martial artist a new dimension. After all the point is to evolve as a martial artist much like Mas Oyama, or even more so and later on, Bruce Lee.
I believe the biggest mistake here is that the commentator refers to 52 as a sport. MMA is a sport. One in which martial arts like, Karate, Judo, Muay Thai, BJJ, and others are needed for a participant to compete in. The key is knowing that martial arts were not originally, and still not a sport but methods of fighting created for warfare and self defense. I would agree that 52 is an evolution of boxing, and a martial art in its own right. But certainly not a sport. Much like......
What a bunch of garbage. I can't believe this 52block thing is actually taught in a dojo. Nothing but a bunch of made up street fighting crap for wanna be ghetto kids.
this is dumb. ive took boxing for 3 years and a catch n jab with a few slips would be way more efficient than these exagerrated blocks. that is if you have speed and reflexes
i'm a catchwrestler/lutra libre esporta guy and I will tell you this if you want to be a great fighter you have to adapt. i am sure there are a few things you can learn from 52.
@consciousnessevo2012 really i guess ppl that pay Greg Jackson and the top mma gyms in the world that make mills and make champions..but NOOO the real fighters are the ones in the getteo.... please show me one of your fighters that could be in wec ,ufc ,strikforce, ring of fire.....no you know what scratch that show me a fighter that can fight in tuffnuff !! i bet even the tuffnuff armatures could kick your hole teams ass
@jtmsl ...and people pay thousands of dollars to train with freakin' ninjas in Noda Japan..so spending money on a training regime does not further your point at all. Not for or against the 52, but this post of yours makes no sense. For example, if a pure BJJ cannot successfully compete in the modern day UFC because of his/her single focus, does that mean that they cannot fight ?
@popasmuerf my post makes no sence??? really?? greg jackson is the worlds best mma coach Jacksons Mixed Martial Arts look it up they have the best fighters out there money makes the best fighter money can get you to train with floyd money can get you to train with anderson silva at the black house along with lyoto money can get you to be in the best gyms with the best fighters in the world your only as good as the ppl you train with...thats why you dont see champs trining out of garages. never
@jtmsl idk man, martial arts never started in a gymnasium and it depends whos teaching that skill. i know entire systems of combat that have students that rank in the thousands yet, they are worthless franchises. you go back to the old countries and see dudes in the alleys and in the country country that are hard for the streets. back in the day it was all mllitary men and survivors of ultra violence. mma doesnt cut it, neither does bjj. arnis? hell yeah to name one.
@jtmsl that is merely speculation. although, i would have to say that within this past two centuries the martial arts have declined in effectiveness with the invention of conventional firearms. how do you actually think that the formula has come to be. when people were running around with swords and what not when life was cheap. what evolving today is a SPORTand not life and death combat. now "nuff said" mr. stan lee.

@jtmsl if you had better things to do why did you bother to open yourself to comments in the first place? but, now you want to posture as if you are above this thing? later for you man....
man after watching this and learning about 52 i realised why black people fight different on the stree tthen white people. its becuz of those old influences that have passed down. look at how the russian white guys fight vs black guys in the US. our style is much more showy but still effective for street fighting. the 52 lets me see so many things ive seen in street fights but its street fighting gone completely martial art. put to maximum efficiency
Will bitch ass internet warriors keep their comments to themselves, stop comparing mma to combat arts. I've studied JKD for 25 years & while in the Army I fought a fellow soldier from Harlem who knew Jailhouse. He was an excellent fighter, very unpredictable used lots of angles. @Blaphtome the fat ablbert 52 master daniel farisi to scare to fight in any organized mma or boxing . but he want to talk like he a figher the fat boy a fucking joke. guy you should see all they bullshit 52 block vids on youtube , GARBAGE AT ITS BEST!
Yeah I have watched most of them. I think some aspects of this could be used in real fighting, but I also think it has a lot of holes. My problem with these people is that they make some very big claims about it's application to MMA, but don't have any fighters out there proving any of it. Haven't seen anyone in any show Pro or amateur; maybe someone should explain to them that actually fighting is how they can get the recognition they think they deserve.
i have a friend that check out daniel 52 class somewhere in harlem he told me. he said the guy fat and out of shape did not know how to do bag work . you right they have many holes in what they do. a good boxer or mma guy kill these fools in stand up or ground. why they don't fight at all but slap slap slap away..lol
have you seen rashad evans? pernell whitaker? joe frazier? jack johnson? study boxing! footwork, head movement and blocks are par and parcel of boxing!
@Blaphtome: I think this is kind of a ridiculous statement. This video is kinda lame. It was developed for destructive prison fighting. How do you turn that into a sport- when the main goal of it is to hurt someone? It shouldn't be "tested" in the ring. The most effective fighting CANT be tested in the ring. ie. BJJ is a sport, Combatives isn't.
@isl04033222 That's not the aim. The aim of BJJ is beating other people in competition. How often do you see guys actually get their arms and legs broken in the ring... not often. And in practice when you are getting choked out or caught in a joint lock you tap... not so in the street. I've seen guys "trying to tap out" while getting stomped and choked out. Not a good defense. You do what you practice for.
@918Anon sure they have. But is that the goal of the sport? No. Reality based fighting systems and MMA are completely different. One trains for adrenal stress situations and another does not. Am I saying this looks like reality based fighting? No. I'm saying the nature of competition creates a sportive mindset which focuses on rules and imbues the practitioners with a willingness to stop your assault. Which is the OPPOSITE of what you want in combat for your life.
@cGeer15 the same way every other martial art has been turned into a sport. boxing is just about the only one meant for entertainment since its inception. jiujitsu, karate, tae kwon do, all the flavors of kung fu, capoeira, even the ground and pound you see in MMA were all meant for inflicting damage initially; once safety limits are put on (referees, lists of moves that aren't allowed, etc), what's the difference?
@noizefloor I agree. That's why I think it is erroneous to make a fighting system a sport. It just proves you can be really skillful at NOT hurting someone. Where's the practicality in that? Probably the closest danger-zone sportive competition I've seen is Thai Boxing, and even that isn't too effective in reality if you don't have a ring around you or the floor is slippery and covered in garbage as it's all about hip acceleration for the kicks and clinch/elbows/knees when infighting.
You know, it might seem funny and looks pretty stupid and some people might not take it seriously because it comes from the street, and I can kind of understand it because it looks really fucking goofy. However, I actually see some space for improvement and practically to an extent.
tayari casel has an awesome ground fighting system that won him dozens of matches in the early mma days. Its more striking from the ground than chokes. Constellation will try to post some things from him
I was exposed to a style of what i believe is 52, though the practitioner referred to it as Comstock - he was from chicago .. He wsnt about teaching it, but I would spar him, and learn each time.
Id be down to practice with anyone who comes to portland Oregon hit me up.
52 Blocks has a long history in the US. It is America's only native martial culture, there is a lot of material on it check amazon as well as google. Was around long before panantukan hit US soil and long before sweet pea as well, although he is a hell of a fighter and we all appreciate him.
Yeah Pernell was a fave of mine as well. I would just like to see 52 blocks against maybe wing chun or kenpo or muay thai even. I see Rashad Evans has made it work for him a lil. Keep it up at any rate, all systems have something to be noted for. As they say its not the style its the practioner.
Google some guy name Bruce Lee for your Winchun, and some other guy named Chuck Liddel for your Kenpo. They're nobodies, but they make contact, you know.
Bruce Jun Fan Lee did Wing Chun though... actually never heard of winchun. Theres, Wing Tsun, Wing Tzun, Yong Chun, Ving Tsun, Wing Cheun and Ving Tchun, all branches from Wing Chun.
farisidaniel it would be sweet to see panuntukan and 52blocks in a friendly sparrring and technique sharing...and can u clear me up on sumthing whats the difference between 52blocks and jhr jail house rock?and is it true that there is a rock and roll?pls reply thanks
peace that would be an ugly sparring session, seeing that both styles attack the body. As for 52 vs JH, there are a few differences 52 plays more in the street, where JH is for being in close no room. thus the tatics are changed the way you fight in range, as for rock n roll no comment, not sure if that is a real style since the inventor had issues with the group he claimed he got from. 52 is native to the US and Caribbean.
ugly as in brutally ugly?heheh well im a proud filipino and ur a proud african american, well i think the panuntukan 52 block spar would be sweet!!!both close range both street oriented and both have limb destructions hehe like the skull and crossbones we in FMA have a similar move but a slight difference thanks for the info about JHR...peace
this is for qjdaboss, if your interested i live in north carolina and teach the original 52 building blocks you can contack me and we can build from there.
give it away like we do everything else. hip hop, rock and roll, jazz, so on and so forth. THEY will always find weak fame or money hungry fools to give our talents and culture to them to exploit for profit that we will never see. keep it up idiots! they can copy but never be, because they will always be copies of us WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!
Win $100 and A pair of the Air Yeezys in your size to whomever can get votes for the best Burlying video. Everyone can participate, only not the original of course because he is the best at...burlying.
What is burlying you say? Check my page to find out!
u have NO skill u r exploitin 52 blocks, hence ur name, i have claim to it cuz its one of the black mans martial arts, u know u committin a crime too cuz u have ur face covered on ur site like the shameful thief that u are. u have no credentials to throw out and i find it funny that u were first exploitin asian martial arts but now u want to exploit black martial arts (52) too. talkin the 52 cards system.....
U DONT KNOW IT! 52 and God Body ... U DONT KNOW IT!
you are a professional utuber, and you are the same dude with a big beard who put up some fake 52 vids with a mix of tai chi some time ago. You took them down because dudes who know the REAL called you out on that fake garbage you put up and you were shut down..
You have NO credentials, NONE! and we all know no one who truly knows 52 taught you cuz u are a fraud makin sh.. up and if ur so called teacher endorses u then he is a fraud too. Your not foolin anybody.
Hey Bro, I agree with alot of your comments. I subsribed to them because I had a good laugh after watching it. I practice the art myself and respect it, but dont take as the end all in boxing. I had a few brothers show me a few things around my way. Its a hobby for me and I try to absorb what I can here and there. I dont by into any system without testing it out first hand. I Like some things, and dislike others in 52 style. Life is bigger than sport. Maa Salaam.
I appreciate and take into consideration yoru opinion. I am william beattie. What is your background in this platform of boxing? If you dont mind sharing it with me. I dont like to throw out credentials cause in the end everyone wants to start beef. Its like, my skill is better than yours etc. Very few want to build or exchange information.
Just an honest observation. MR52 seems to have better footwork and fluidity in his movements. All of these brothers seem to able to handle themselves so no disrespect intended.
dont be mad at xblocks for hustling folks out there who are CHOOSING to be lead astray! if peoples THREE eyes are open, they will know who is the TRUTH and where to go to receive correct 52 lessons. It takes all types to make this crazy world go around, and xblocks is the low slime out there to make a fast buck. Karma is a bitch!!!
F*** that! Yall cant see what's happenin'? daniel marks and lyte burly is trying to imitate IMmr52. Just look at the vids and the dates they were posted. and yall will see. These birds are doing use-less waving of the arms. Big K supposed 2 be some kind of master and he got slapped up. daniel marks sparring with the smallest guy he can find and lyte goes down on one knee. Straight garbage..

@cGeer15 the same way every other martial art has been turned into a sport. boxing is just about the only one meant for entertainment since its inception. jiujitsu, karate, tae kwon do, all the flavors of kung fu, capoeira, even the ground and pound you see in MMA were all meant for inflicting damage initially; once safety limits are put on (referees, lists of moves that aren't allowed, etc), what's the difference?
noizefloor 1 year ago
@noizefloor I agree. That's why I think it is erroneous to make a fighting system a sport. It just proves you can be really skillful at NOT hurting someone. Where's the practicality in that? Probably the closest danger-zone sportive competition I've seen is Thai Boxing, and even that isn't too effective in reality if you don't have a ring around you or the floor is slippery and covered in garbage as it's all about hip acceleration for the kicks and clinch/elbows/knees when infighting.
cGeer15 1 year ago
You know, it might seem funny and looks pretty stupid and some people might not take it seriously because it comes from the street, and I can kind of understand it because it looks really fucking goofy. However, I actually see some space for improvement and practically to an extent.
Who knows.

The best way to get recognition is to beat the shit out of a pro fighter with it. Basically a well known fighter to be exact.

52 is specialized for closeqb .. its awesome there. at a distance think TKD or capoeria.. middle - boxing or MThai - or hapkido -
with weapons arnis or kali
groups, systema krav maga or capoeira, - angola palmares...
the ground is ruled by brazilian jujitsu.
rex2074 2 years ago
tayari casel has an awesome ground fighting system that won him dozens of matches in the early mma days. Its more striking from the ground than chokes. Constellation will try to post some things from him
FarisiDaniel 2 years ago
Awesome -
Id love to see anything youve got.
I was exposed to a style of what i believe is 52, though the practitioner referred to it as Comstock - he was from chicago .. He wsnt about teaching it, but I would spar him, and learn each time.
Id be down to practice with anyone who comes to portland Oregon hit me up.

I'm not trying to knock anything here, but isnt this just panantukan and lets say the shucking and jiving style of a Pernell Whitaker?
KnifeAndStick 2 years ago
52 Blocks has a long history in the US. It is America's only native martial culture, there is a lot of material on it check amazon as well as google. Was around long before panantukan hit US soil and long before sweet pea as well, although he is a hell of a fighter and we all appreciate him.
FarisiDaniel 2 years ago
Yeah Pernell was a fave of mine as well. I would just like to see 52 blocks against maybe wing chun or kenpo or muay thai even. I see Rashad Evans has made it work for him a lil. Keep it up at any rate, all systems have something to be noted for. As they say its not the style its the practioner.
KnifeAndStick 2 years ago
Could you send us some guys who fight wingchun or Kenpo who do contact?
FarisiDaniel 2 years ago
Google some guy name Bruce Lee for your Winchun, and some other guy named Chuck Liddel for your Kenpo. They're nobodies, but they make contact, you know.
legendof 2 years ago
Bruce Jun Fan Lee did Wing Chun though... actually never heard of winchun. Theres, Wing Tsun, Wing Tzun, Yong Chun, Ving Tsun, Wing Cheun and Ving Tchun, all branches from Wing Chun.

farisidaniel it would be sweet to see panuntukan and 52blocks in a friendly sparrring and technique sharing...and can u clear me up on sumthing whats the difference between 52blocks and jhr jail house rock?and is it true that there is a rock and roll?pls reply thanks
gabbomushy 2 years ago
peace that would be an ugly sparring session, seeing that both styles attack the body.
FarisiDaniel 2 years ago
ugly as in brutally ugly?heheh well im a proud filipino and ur a proud african american, well i think the panuntukan 52 block spar would be sweet!!!both close range both street oriented and both have limb destructions hehe like the skull and crossbones we in FMA have a similar move but a slight difference thanks for the info about JHR...peace

mastercheestee 2 years ago

Peace!

dont be mad at xblocks for hustling folks out there who are CHOOSING to be lead astray! if peoples THREE eyes are open, they will know who is the TRUTH and where to go to receive correct 52 lessons.

Straight garbage..
blackcommando1 2 years ago
I took some conceps of 52 to defend against ground and pound, but it only works in a bare hand fight. The art has some good qualities
cuevasdecamuy 2 years ago
Very interesting. Quite misleading movements there, you'd have to keep your attention up against someone mastering that technique.
