Jeff Barry ron dante n toni wine n many others with help from the fellow who had his name on records n rights Don Kirsh. forgive short last not able spell his name i sorry.....
In 1969 I was six years old and my parents where bikers, hanging out with the likes of Skip Taylor, Janis Joplin, Dave Mann (artist for 'Easy Rider Magazine') and Chuck Barry. At that time this cartoon blew my mind. I would watch it every week. I saw this song play and it totally sent me over the edge. The song is a few seconds after the 'Grundy dance moves' in the beginning of the video. I could remember every line of this song my whole life. It's still one of my favorite songs ever.
Man, haven't heard this tune in over 30 years and I still remember it just like it was yesterday growing up in L.A.. I really dug all those little Archies & Groovie Goolies jingles from back in the day. I wish I had them all on a CD to listen to in the car while driving to and from work.
There are several Archies compilation CDs out on the market. The best is a 20 track CD put out by Repertoire Records. They also put out the Archies first LP on CD and did a great job of it. I don't think the Goolies LP has been transfered over to CD yet, but just as well as the best Goolies tracks were not on the LP... in my humble opinion (except for Cling Clang).
anything u put up i give u a 5 anyway i old but i still love the archies at 52 so if people hate that tuff horse fudge....thank u.....all though i love the Statistics & Data ....say just 13-17 male watch it
When i see Hot dog dance it sure did it un-justice when they had Moptop copy it same look to.....sad u think i notice when the brady kids came out on abc i said look Mom and dad they usin archie gang background but put the brady creeps in the spot where archies were..lol
It was the same stock footage reused on The Brady Kids with Hot Dog repainted brown, yeah, The Brady Kids was pretty much like Archie without the Archie gang in it!!
Were you waiting for this one??? There's 5 left to go now... and I've got to think how I want to do them. I don't have the "correct speed and pitch" versions for two of them, and another two were copied from the old Odyssey channel, and they look like #$%^, so don't know if I want to upload them or not.
ALL HAIL JUGHEAD!!!!

I had this song in my head all day! I'm 14 and my little bro hates this kind of music. I think it's cool!

@MrLehnerd There were a lot of "comedy relief" items in "The Brady Kids". I'm pretty sure the two pandas were meant as such.

Ha, ha--go Hot Dog. Play that bass viola and the bongos!

I most remember this one for the Grundy dance--heavy emphasis on the oversized shoes by Jughead in the animated dance sequence.

Archie was a pimp, loved though comics when I was a kid, he had the sexy rich girl and the pretty blonde girl next door. He wasn't doing too bad

Though labeled a "bubblegum rock" band, the Archies' music possessed a strong r&b foundation. This song is a good example.

The Archies... they sure bring back memories - even though I grew up on the other side of the Iron curtain :)
Mid eighties - we got cable and Sky One was rerunning the Archie show... good old times :) :) :)
