This performance was one of the best of the season from any contestant. Although the judges were complimentary, they did not give it the praise it deserved, probably because Country music is not their music of choice. Scotty should record this song (in the style of the live version). It is much better than the studio version, and it would be a #1 hit on the Billboard chart.

His performance clearly communicates the message of the song and it gets me. I have heard the song before and did not really care for the song but with Scotty singing it, it was amazing. I feel comforted as I listen to him and make me believe that I have a friend. He is a convincing performer.

Wow Scotty, seriously? wow... This is why America is loving this season.The artists are allowed to fill the stage with their own genre. I personally love listening to (jazz, soul, pop, country, southern rock, country pop and gospel) that has filled the stage.
