Interesting posting, yet he obviously does not truely know what is going on in the soil. Or at least is not a very good speaker. How is it self sufficient if you are IMPORTING soil or humic acid from Alaska. I live in Louisiana and I have a massive garden. I wouldnt think of importing soil from another area. you risk bringing in non native bacteria and diseases and killing off your plants that are not used to that soil type
one fungi overlooked by modern day and age ppl. huitlacoches, you know this better as "corn smut", very delicious and tasty when its seasoned right with chopped tomatoes, onions, maybe some fresh coriander and some epazote, this is an herb that prevents that bulgy gaseous feelin' one gets after fillin' up with vittles.
