  • Gods, I can NOT believe how long it's been since I've heard this. Maybe 15 years. I still have the cassette!

  • I had the opportunity to see them live. We drove from Buffalo N.Y. to Toronto mid 80's .(They played the Concert Hall). Awesome show , and right on sound. Amazing but they are a bit strange...

  • @OldMilk. This IS good news! I'll keep my eyes and ears open!!!

  • this song is just so great.

    its pure musical genius

  • I love AON! I hope they do another project one day. 2000's The Seduction of Claude Debussy is brilliant!!!

  • @jakeinlove they're making a new album.

  • Hahahaha to all the f wits who say 'computer bands' can't make it live - this puts that to rest

  • @brismike65 They are electronic artists, but they can replicate there stuff.

  • @OldMilk12 that they are

  • Just been listening to Nina Hagen's Cosmic Shiva, and it's underlying rhythm reminded me of Paranoimia, so here I am and I still suspicious of the similarity. AoN and Jean Michel Jarre (i.p. ZooLook) were great producers of different music which became very popular..

  • Is that Stacey Q.????

  • Is that Stacey Q.????

  • egs

  • This is awesome! I have listened to these guys over the years ever since my brother introduced me to them when I was in Junior High. They were groundbreaking and much of what we hear today we have their stunning mix of music and sound genius to thank for. Nowadays everything has to have some stupid lyric where someone is trying to impress. Dance music is a genre that the door is wide open for non-linear thinking lyrically. Wish more groups did it.

  • i have the cd to the art of noise when this came out and got me hook, line and sinker.

saw paranomia video with max headroom on mtv and loved it. help me please.

    chud1able

  • @chud1able lol wat

    You have downs, son.

  • i love this version of paranormia better!

  • Paranoimia starts from 1:27

  • Best version I've ever heard so far...

  • Wow - this brings back memories of seeing AoN live at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater back in the day (thanks to KROQ). Thanks for posting this vid!

  • Oh, Holy mad cow!!!! Opus was amazing as a song on its own... but seeing it done like this is incredible.... a while new dimension to its original awesomeness. and Paranoimia is just bonus awesomeness.... AoN makes the internet worth it. LoL

  • This has got to be one of the strangest and most abstract things I've ever seen.

  • even live grat tracks... thx for posting

  • 4 Fairlights, wow!!!!!!!

  • Just can't get into the Opus 4 kind of AoN.

They should of stuck to their original style and kept up with electronic music instead.

  • @Damecos

Opus 4 was on their second album. how much closer to their beginnings could they get? imo it was all downhill after Invisible silence with a few goodies on the subsequent albums.

@ DPJTRON keep it up. youre performing gods work here.

  • i love Tessa Niles! the first of the backing singers. she also did backing for Robbie Williams.

  • I love both tracks!

  • I didn't think this was the type of music that led itself to live performances - like most of it was synthesized there wouldn't be much for the live band to do.

  • From the left,

Singer Nr 3 looks like an 80s Amy WInehouse.

  • Scratch a little and find a little more of what makes YouTube so fantabulous!

  • So deep,, so cool~ love it!!!!!!!

  • The Ambient Collection is one of the best purchases in my life.

  • I think I have listened a couple of thousand times to that record since I bought it in the magical summer of 1990...

  • Thanks for posting this, I love them since my 80's high school years.

  • Their "Ambient collection" is outstanding to listen non-stop on the Hi End equipment. But...that is about the only their work I like.

  • Wow replacing tape loops with a choir how beautifully anti-tech. This band has amazed me since I saw the Paramonia video on Weird Al's MTV show in 87'. Thanks for posting this version.

  • This band is amazing. I found out about them about a month ago. I found a CD thrown on the side of the road. I liked the cover and i got it. The CD was inside in good condition, The album was Re-works of Art of Noise. I'm glad i found the CD.

  • Lucky for you.

Unlucky for the guy who lost it. :D

Yea, while there might have been facets of AON that was similar to other bands of the day, the whole package of what they were was hugely unique and inventive.

  • @ajo101 thats an awsome story! i found out about art of noise from my mom, she trold me that id like it, she was right!

  • @ajo101 well was time of lucky! this is a perl in music.

  • @ajo101 I'm sure by now you have found the albums and are in awe.

  • NOVEMBER!!!:-)

    tnx

  • Simply brilliant. Makes me remember why I loved their music twenty years ago.

  • @KapitanoUK were coming up on 30 years next year. & im still finding new "reworks"

  • Excellent sound!

    Excellent experimental music!

    Great and 5 stars!!!

  • Is that Tessa Niles doing vocals?

  • awesome, it was from 80s music show "the tube" the singers were popping up everywhere back then , blonde no1 far left (no proper time of day) have a look at BOWIES performance of HEROES at LIVE AID 1985.

  • The groups are legends, incredible and artistic. Tom jones version of kiss is horrible. Prince is the only one who can do it first and right. the song Moments in love is a god sent. Simply the best and if you get a chance list the Prince song :Adore on the bsides album the song is a the best slow one I ever heard

  • Paramonia, My best song by AON!

  • There was a version of Moments in Love on You Tube that was live and 10 minutes long with these backing singers (probably the same live concert. Can't seem to find it now, anyone with any info?

  • i loooooove fairlight....amazing synth-sampler

  • "no birds no bees no flowers

     no trees no wonder NOVEMBER"

    benny hill

  • :DDDD

    Excellent lyrics!

  • calming!

  • I think "Art of Noise" and "Propaganda" were the best things in mid 1980's (1985-86).

I didn't like Peter Gunn and their work with Tom Jones ("Kiss").

The rest is a Blast !!!!

    But ,I love also Propaganda...

  • i'm a big fan of the art of noise and also of yello..same style..i made a remix of paranoimia this year..i just had it on you tube...so check it out...great vid by the way

  • Tribute group!

  • I'm surprised they performed those tracks so well live. The quote of Monopoly is bizarre!

    Thanks for posting this.

  • The more I listen to them, the more I think the live versions of Paranoimia, Opus 4 and Peter Gunn were superior to the recorded sessions. They are simply brilliant live.

  • Agree.

    Close to the edit too.

  • I remember this on The Tube. Being an Art of Noise fan (and still) I found this amazing and still play it on vinyl. Thankyou for posting it......and how funny is No Vember!!!!?

  • Big fan for years(decades!), never knew about the videos. Wow! Even live performances... very cool. Thanks for posting.

  • I take it, the video is from the tube

  • GREAT VIDEO. Where is this from?. This is not the VISIBLE SILENCE Video.
