@k0rkis2 In the cockpit, there is no button for braking. You brake with the toe brakes, using the pedals. If you have no pedals for your pc, you can active the wheel brake by holding the K key. Please have a look at the manual, there's a lot of information like this in there.

Comming from a person whos learning to become a pilot. This Simulator seems to strike an interest towards me. and makes me wonder why some Forces are still using programs like FSX to train their pilots. Can anyone who is first hand experianced with the control console msg me telling me how it responds compared to FSX and what the pros and cons are?

I love flight sims, but this game turns me into a complete noob within seconds. Learning the keys is like learning a new language, I get slaughtered every time I take off. Do not get this game if you think it just looks cool, it is super cool but its ten times harder than it looks. I take off get the gear up see a blip on my radar, hear a few weird beeps and clicks and then boom I'm freaking dead, on the Rookie setting, so embarrassing..lol.

Haha, so many morons out there. A 'GAME' pays all attention on basic physics and nearly all of its data is on sound and graphics. A 'SIMULATOR' will base nearly all of its data on the vehicle it is simulating. There is a 715 page manual on how to play this simulator.

It took me a week just to learn how to use basic radar modes and bombing.

What do you think of this game? Like how hard are the controls to remember, and how much trouble was it to read the full manual. i think you should you learn stuff along the way, i only used the pdf manual prolly only 6-7 times, but it takes a while to learn it

This is the most realistic flight simulation available for civilian usage....

So everything is controllable with the exeption of A/C which isnt needed because its a game.

I wouldn't buy this game if you don't have a joystick and separate throttle even. Better off getting Ace Combat 6 for X-box or something. There are a LOT of keystrokes required for all the various systems etc and to not have the control range of a joystick would make this sim almost impossible to enjoy.

Just my opinion.  Most low end joysticks have a built in throttle wheel, and you can get them for as low as $29. WELL worth it.

hmmm the suncom F15E i recomend after youve tried it the only difference from the real eagle stick is the metalic feel at its base and the weight of the thing. apart from that its very real feeling. An F15E pilot who later transfered to the 16 recomended it to me i am pleased with it.

i have been having problems with dropping bombs in campaign missions. when im in CCRP or CCIP modes, the drop cue falls down the line but nothing happens, even when heading is perfect. In the training mission, I am able to drop the bombs, but in campaign mode, i cant.. WHY IS THIS?

hi, if you play with keyboard as I do, you can shoot both missiles and drop bombs with SPACE and to drop bombs you first have to press backspace soo that the ccdp is on (ATG RADAR) then I think the plane automatical will choose bombs or you will have to press on the ATG button, when you have to HOLD down SPACE a few seconds, it will count down in seconds in the right low corner on the display in front off you, and then the time reach 0:00 the bombs vill be dropped. try and have fun;)

Hey, check the instructions manual! This simulator is so complex that you HAVE to read it first!

And it is known to be one of the few softwares to include like a "bible" as an instruction manual.

Besides, you should check the briefing, it tells you everything you should know to operate a mission

if you wanna feel most realistic falcon experience, you must get an hotas system. there are 2 different model in my mind. my 1st favorite is thrustmaster hotas cougar. second is saitek x-52 or x-45. but if you are begginer player, you can get cheaper models for starting.

How "new" at this are you? 'Cuz that was actually pretty good flying. Your AOA was a little high during landing, though. Also keep your nose up as long as possible, with wheelbrakes on. The 16's built to take that stress (as long as you don't land way too fast), and it'll give more room for error and build good habits for emergencies (flameouts, etc.)
