This new group of people dont know the dog is 'the thing' so they protect it because the Norwegians are trying to kill it. The dog then goes with the new group of people into their camp. The new thing movie is set before the original and it's last ending scene is the dog running away from the Norwegian camp with two guys chasing it...
I watched the black and white version and it had this Frankenstein's Monster thing terrorizing everyone. A fav part is when the electric blanket defrosts the thing and it escapes. :D
I don't really care what critics say, or opinions. This movie was well played out in theaters. IUt carries the legend of the cult classic and keeps me curious as to what they might have in store for our favorite body snatcher villian. The cast was old school style and the switch up moment of action kept it as an intense feeling, only flaw is that once the mystery was revealed everyone started to *finger snaps* one after the other. Elizabeth is beautiful and played the part well. Boom boom...boom

Congratulations for the director because he believed in some inexperienced actors and had done such a good job with a low budget. I add another opinion in support of this movie. Yes Carpenter's "The Thing" is one the BEST horror movies of all time, but this one is very good as well. It comes out on BD tomorrow, I plan to buy it tomorrow. IMHO, the only horror movies I like as good as these two are Descent 1&2.

I add another opinion in support of this movie. Yes Carpenter's "The Thing" is one the BEST horror movies of all time, but this one is very good as well. It comes out on BD tomorrow, I plan to buy it tomorrow. IMHO, the only horror movies I like as good as these two are Descent 1&2.

This film recommended to everyone over the age of 12. I was totaly captivated by this movie. There are few of movies like this one, and I loved it. It made you think about your life. Pleasently good movie.. Must see...go to kóokíca (search in yahoo) to find this one out. Convincing acting makes it all excellent. I think many of viewers would like this. It is for all age movie. this movie fits the first perfectly it even had the axe in the wall in it omg!!!! 4 out of 5 felt kinda the same wich you really cant help but they did good! they need to make this into a game or somthin i think people just dont like new things but this is actully a good movie i thought it was gonna be the first one all over again i was like fa... but nope you should watch it! :)

It doesn't match up. The splitface in the 82 film had 1 set of organs, yet in this movie it should have 2.
The kerosene cans next to splitface in the 82 film are missing.
The ice cave is never existed in the 82 film, the director of this movie admitted that he changed this.
The dog looks nothing like the 82 dog.
The dog goes from brown when it jumps out of the window to grey when running in the snow.
I can name tons of places where they don't match up
