There are many tunes that use real Morse Code as the basis of the song. Try coming up with a title word and then listen to it at different speeds of Morse Code and then create the song around that riff. A word like RUN or LOVE or PIE or SUN. There are websites and/or programs where you can enter the words and it will play back the code at the speed of your choice.
I was listening to a lot of Wilco when I wrote this. Their current album was "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" I think... I was thinking about radio waves and had recently read about Edison's early years as an telegraph operator. On the guitar I found that stuttering thumb picking idea and the tune unfolded. I thought the middle bit was Morse Code-like....Glad you liked it!
i love this and the title is very creative and fitting :)

The morse code title brought me here too, and like the others, I had to hear it all the way through. Nice playing, nice tune.

Adam, great tune, man...I have to ask though, why is it titled "Morse Code". I do amateur radio as a side hobby but always have a passion for music..
So what is the history of this song? Either way, it is downright awesome!
