Romanians fought against Turks and defended Christianism for hundreds of years; they are white (caucasian) just like the French or any central european country. Gypsies are of Indian descent therefore their skin is darker.

I been to Romania 4 times because I like the nature there...the really only place where Romanians looks like normal Europeans is the Transylvania area other than most of them look like Turks - especially in the South ..so that tells me they mixed a lot.. even Hungarians looked more Caucasian to me..
