@divagirl408 I think it's supposed to be sort of stylistic, more like he's 'swooping' down on her like an eagle or something. Sweeney is a very artistic play, a lot of things are pantomimed, alluded to, or implied. In the actual stage version, the Judge usually doesn't climb on top of her at all; instead the dancers get in a circle and do a creepy, surreal circle dance while he lifts her up, sort of like a human sacrifice. Creepy!

After Benjamin was gone, she stayed holed up in their room for a long time. The judge called on her to "apologize" so she went to see him. that night, he raped her. After that, she poisoned herself, attempting suicide. I hope that helped you understand better!
