oh lord, our population is about 80 million, 50-60 million us-citizens have german roots.
it's absolutely legitime to synch shows and movies even i prefer the origin voices in most cases.

ich durfte das früher gar nicht anschauen wie auch beavis und buthead und die fraggles und muppet show!ja die 80ziger und 90ziger waren cool aber irgenwie ist es an mir alles vorbeigegangen.jetzt geht mir auch alles z.b.handy,lcd fernseher,sex,kino,poker,konsolen,drogen vorbei weil ich keine gesundheit und arm bin!

Well, the problem is that the actors suck. Dubbing's fine, but at least get people who can properly convey emotion.

An other example: Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies at first wasnt funny, only the german translation. When they realized that is more popular, they put it in their films too.
