The first one could be done with proper math. Or they could have tested it with something of equal weight to the man to get the position of the pool right.

You know how you can always tell its fake. There are always a split second in the vids where the subject goes blurry or out of sight, the crazy part happens, then it blurs then it comes back. Its a movie trick they been doing forever.

Cgi on both the planes its clearly CGI, the waterslide is very well done but It's probably fake. Peopl have done dangerous things but that's not enough water to stop you safely. The jump is do able. if you got enough speed at the right angle for take off you could do the maths and pinpoint a landing area but you'd need a large area for margin of area and conditions will vary.
It's pretty obvious that it's fake, especially since the water splashed straight up. If he actually did the jump, the water would have splashed forwards, not straight up.

for the first one it is possible using ALLOT of maths and luck, it works in the same way as in car jumps they rarely fall short because some one has worked out how to do it. plus you can survive the impact.

The slide is clearly fake. First the stunt man's apogee is higher than the starting point--violates conservation of energy. Second, when he lands, the pool does not recoil in spite of the horizontal component of his speed--violates conservation of momentum. Third, the deceleration of going from tens of meters/ sec to rest in 1meter of pool would squash him.

As to the second video (passenger airplane), it is a fake for sure...I live in the building which the airplane circ les. It is the Castillo de Santa Clara in Torremolinos, Spain, on the southern Mediterranean coast. Nothing like that has ever happened...I swim right where that airplane "landed"!

the first one was done by when you can see him for the few seconds he slides off and they shoot a dummy off and theres already one guy in the pool with the SAME oufit as the guy and dummy that was flying threw the air.. they did this many times until the dummy succefully landed lol

The slide is clearly fake. First the stunt man's apogee is higher than the starting point--violates conservation of energy. Second, when he lands, the pool does not recoil in spite of the horizontal component of his speed--violates conservation of momentum. Third, the deceleration of going from tens of meters/ sec to rest in 1meter of pool would squash him.
Believers, take your slide rules out of your rectums and open a Freshman physics book.

When I wrote my comment I didn't know the film was openly fake. The explanation was for those who thought it was real.
The physics is Freshman "101," hardly "flaunting." Also, some people with a modicum of intellectual curiosity might want to know why the phenomenon as depicted is impossible.

All are fake. The third is awful CGI. The second is pretty poor CGI. And the first just isn't physically possible. There is absolutely no way that a man could cover that distance after a 2/3 second descent along a wet piece of plastic followed by a fairly steep ramp.

no? what are you talking about? if the megawoosh was real the cameraman would have to zoom out in order to succesfully track the guy sliding. following something while zoomed in is not easy.

I guess the megawoosh could be real if you're good at physics. Calculate the objects (person) mass, the decline/incline of the ramp and velocity of said object and all that other junk and you can see where it would land. I doubt they had test runs with a real human though.

As to the second video (passenger airplane), it is a fake for sure...I live in the building which the airplane circ les. It is the Castillo de Santa Clara in Torremolinos, Spain, on the southern Mediterranean coast. Nothing like that has ever happened...I swim right where that airplane "landed"!

Megawoosh was sponsored by Microsoft, not made for Microsoft. I just watched a short documentary on it in the Banff Mountain Film Festival, it took several engineers a long time and a lot of equipment to design it. I'd say it's pretty legit. The guy is absolutely hilarious too.

the first one was done by when you can see him for the few seconds he slides off and they shoot a dummy off and theres already one guy in the pool with the SAME oufit as the guy and dummy that was flying threw the air.. they did this many times until the dummy succefully landed lol

@NtS5555 rofl u think its real? have u ever jumped off a diving board into a pool? i have and i know that falling into water from 10-15ft above makes you go under a few feet as well, that pool is only 4ft deep or so and he was traveling way faster then i do when i jump into a pool...

the stunt plane has already been debunked by the creator lol it was defo fake, and that 737 vid was made to make people think that they can turn like that, when they bluddy well cant. it also looks as if its doctored learn 3d design and you will pick out the mistakes automaticly

1st, well edited, seems physicaly impossible though.
2nd, was a vacation commercial for spain I belive, thy didn't show the part witht he guy openign the hatch door and dancingin shorts and a hawaiian shirt.
3rd, obvious computer graphics edit, an a cheap one at that. Seriously look at 1:33 its like cheap video game physics.

The one wing plane IS fake but it's not 'defying the laws of physics'.
The aircraft has enough side area to knife edge without one wing.

There all fake. The Megawoosh was made for Microsoft, the 757 plane is REALLY cheesy. The plane would have been deafining, not that light.

'manages to lose an entire wing' while it's at the peak of its climb? wouldn't it be moving the slowest at that point, which would make that the most UNlikely time for a wing to fall off?
as for the water slide, it's hard to judge whether the physics are right based on the angle it's filmed from. but who would really be take that kind of a risk? and would 2 buckets of water really provide that kind of precision? AND why would they only film the thing with one camera from that particular angle?
