  • I like the musical saw in this song :)

  • Rock it boys!

  • hm. strange one, but nice :)

  • Thats my man!

  • interesting style...

  • Im pretty sure its some kind of Boss-delay, he uses it for those little voice loops and changing the echo on his voice.

  • boss dd-7 friends

  • @josiahbirrell DD-3 actually

  • Anybody know what that little pedal is that Patrick fucks around with all the time is called?

  • Is this guy still alive? Havent heard alot from him lately and it makes me nervous...I want more!

  • Releasing a new album on the 28th, and going on tour to get it out there.

Couldn't be looking forward to it more <3

  • he's playing the montreal jazz fest, a free outdoor concert, its going to be amazing, saw him in 2007 with the cinematic orchestra

  • Thanks, saw him in Calgary a month ago. Absolutely fantastic musician.

  • @HolyRomanEmpire0 theyre working on another album and theyve been touring at the same time a bit

    he currently has 4 albums

  • @ziomany didnt realise this comment was 2 years old lol

  • even live this song affects me in such and awesome way. Gives me all butterflies.

  • Nice jam at the end.

  • i love this song.... it makes me want to go outside & play in the rain (in the dark)

  • It makes me want to sing the dark blues among the natural black night on the gritty streets of new york city.

  • He sounds more like a combination of M. Ward and Jeff Buckley. He's definitely more talented than most of the mainstream shit that's out there.

  • yeah, definitely M. ward. patrick watson is a genius.

  • Fantastic!

  • oh my god, he is so fucking awesome. i love him.

  • Is he a tenor? His voice? Kind of high when he says "This is called the storm" (Or something along the lines)

  • reminds me of radiohead, but top man! this is a nice song, long live true indie

  • these mtv performances are stellar.

  • is it just me or does it sound like he samples Man Man around 1:39 and and a couple times after that??

  • it's not just you. :)

  • How does he do his voice?! does he combine head voice into his chest voice? Can you even do that? Is he purely in head voice....well anyways, At least the notes arent too high.

    AWESOME SONG!

  • cannot stop playing this!

  • holy shit the ending of this video is epic

    the vocal effects and everything!

  • hahaha very nice musicc

  • i saw him live yesterday, then i went with him outside smokin a cigarette :P

  • wickid you met him! how was he like, dow to earth sort of geezer, amazin musician, looks like the sort of lad you can have a joint an a pint with

  • It was a pretty funny conversation, im french and my english is not really good, and he also speaks french and well not as well as I but we kinda like understand each other when talking. Hes really like someone whos a fast thinker and a really good joker.

  • the Background vocals are best !

  • Comment removed

  • You can get the studio version by buying the album. Hm.

  • haunting, and amazing.

  • the back up singing sounds exactly like man man

  • I saw him live, he's awesome, amazing :)

  • sooo good!!!

  • wow, sounds like a great band

  • It is!

  • oooooohhhhhhhhhh....<3

  • sounds like radiohead, jeff buckley and sigur ros a little bit.......ITS AMAZING!

  • i think he is amazing, because he sounds like patrick watson....lol

  • Yeah, I was thinking that exact thing when I bought his album.

  • Best live performer i've ever heard, they played in the Grey Hall, Christiania, Denmark 31.10.07.

They were warming up for Cold War Kids (who was awsome btw), but Patrick & co. seemed more entuchiatic when they played.

I simple can't wait 'till they come to Denmark again, probably at next years Roskilde Festival (which was awsome too)

  • great voice and simply honest music

  • Amazing that this is live.

  • That song is the shit...

  • I bought the cd two days ago and I prefer the live version to the album one...sounds more special live I think :D

  • Once again, excellent song. I would appreciate hearing this on radio, I would definitely buy it.

  • Love when the drums come in, tight beat, especially with the riff

  • Sounds like Jeff Buckley-God Bless him.

  • Awesome song

    amazingly talented

    def sounds like radiohead

  • I'm like 60 years old and have been a rocker and music afficiendo for the whole of my life, that said, I kinda like this but it became annoying at the end. Not a money maker me thinks.

  • i cant stop to listen to this song...the end is just incredible! it reminds me of radiohead...kinda -_-

  • i wonder if he was inspired at all by john frusciante?

  • patrick watson, what an incredibly talented man.

  • Marre des critiques musicales formatées. Cherche dadarockcritic sur Google et tu entendras parler de Patrick Watson...entre autres.

  • this sounds a lot like a radiohead song, especially the end - great stuff

  • natural

  • is he using a bass syth in his hand?

  • Seems like a delay hooked up to his mic...

  • exactly. dd-3 or dd-6.

  • this song obsesses me...i love it
