Well, the rane fader is definitely the most buttery slick cross fader around. But I think it's also a question of what you're used to. I have an 07, but from the D (samurai) series. It is just as accurate and I haven't had to replace it for almost 4 years now. When I occasionally use a rane, it always takes some getting used to.

if you only care about crossfader and if you want perfect cuts, just buy yourself innofader (best fader avilable) its like 120$ and its compatible with most of the popular mixers.
