  • Brilliant job and decision NOT to restore. Nice, original patina. You did everything right. Hats off.

  • @1Rugbrn Is that Dave's car?

  • @carbuffs Yeah it's dave's, I haven't seen the car yet, probably this weekend!

  • @1Rugbrn Tell him Richie said hi. He came close to buying this one. It doesn't matter what Dave drags home, it will be beyond incredible when he is done.

  • @carbuffs He's a nut, we have been friends since high school. Can't wait to see the car later this week.

I will tell him you said HI. He will make the car perfect when it's done. I think he's starting work on the car.

  • Has this car gone to st. louis?

  • @1Rugbrn Michigan

  • Nice car, very nice history! Thanks for sharing it! Congratulations for keep it running again!

  • i know a guy with two 69 trans ams in a barn one is a blue vinal top and i guess its one of two made with vinal top...the other looks just like this one

  • this is my dream car i always wanted one. i only ever owned firebirds or trans am's well besides truck but only car was firebirds or trans ams. love it nice job cleaning it up

  • my father in law has one of these. he bought it brand new in 69. its all original right down to the tires. it has ridiculously low mileage. he also mentioned being buried with it.

  • @bankyedwards59 I don't wan't to come off as an Insensitive but I do think that might not be happening ! The car should remain in the family and Enjoyed ! • so cool the orignal owner got to drive his baby again, you done him right

  • My uncle bought a 68 Firebird when he got home from Vietnam. He had the money so he figured WTF?

  • i got a 68 firebird that was a barn find. to bad the barn was on fire when i pulled it out. i guess it really is a fire chicken

  • Great story!

  • lucky find i would love to drive that just the way she sits

  • Very Cool Stuff!!

Hey maybe you and the rest of you guys with the early TAs would find the RediRad useful... check us out on youtube!

Thanks for the great photo montage!

    ~Matt

  • how much r u sellin it for?

  • damn dude im jealous, awsome find!

  • @WetDirtProductions I'm jelous too! That car was only 697 ever produced which makes it rare and highly sought after. If you have an original 1969 Trans-Am especially unrestored, then what you have is a once and a life time thing!

  • wow sir that is an amazing car. I'll bet you miss it. I hope the new owner treats it as well as you did.

  • Thanks for all of the great comments on both videos of this car. It has been sold and has a new owner in the midwest. Everyone keep looking, your dream car is sitting in a barn or garage near you!

  • @carbuffs my dream car wasnt stting in a barn or garage... it was sitting behind a garage i got myself a 1968 pontiac catalina 2+2 almost mint besides the passenger side quarter panel, i have it on the road as i work on it

  • Next trans am meet call Chris Paulson in santa barbara, he has one that is very original, very non-molested, very much the way it came from dealer. Oh, and its a convert.

  • Brings a tear to my eye seeing classics like this with some history behind it.

I remember being a little 6 yr old back in that era and seing these type of cars all over the plac.

  • Please dont restore this car....they are only original ONCE!

  • The debate of whether to conserve or restore a car like this is answered not by strangers who want perfection or the way they originally were first, but by the expression of the original owner who remembers all those special experiences with the car and smiles...

  • I'm glad you didn't repaint it.. I was already amazingly well kept and is worth far more in its current condition. I love the whole style an rarity of these cars.. Very nice find.. Could you make another video on how you located the car?.....

  • How about the story of how you found the car?

  • cool story with a happy ending ..!!! peace !!!

  • you are one luckey man

  • How did the original owner react when he saw it the first time, again?

  • wonderful car and great story. Glad you are preserving and not restoring. Best of all - you are also DRIVING IT!
