my mom told me back when she was in highschool in rural liberal kansas, there was one kid who had a trans am. smoked everything in the town except a couple of race oriented cars
i know where theres one just like this sitting in a building with less than 50 thousand miles on it the woman drove it everyday u ntil a few years ago bean trying to buy it for a while i have a 71 ho trans am had 2 of them sold one to a guy in california dont know what happened to it since then bean a few years wish i had it back
A very similiar find on a 69' TA, came to . St. louis just recently from Florida. 48k all original basket case. A close friend of mine bought it and had it shipped to stl.
@1Rugbrn Tell him Richie said hi. He came close to buying this one. It doesn't matter what Dave drags home, it will be beyond incredible when he is done.
That's not real..... LOL. Just kidding, very nice find and clean up ! Rare car,I think around 1000 , but don't remember,I'm sure you know though, very cool.
i know a guy with two 69 trans ams in a barn one is a blue vinal top and i guess its one of two made with vinal top...the other looks just like this one
this is my dream car i always wanted one. i only ever owned firebirds or trans am's well besides truck but only car was firebirds or trans ams. love it nice job cleaning it up
my father in law has one of these. he bought it brand new in 69. its all original right down to the tires. it has ridiculously low mileage. he also mentioned being buried with it.
@bankyedwards59 I don't wan't to come off as an Insensitive but I do think that might not be happening ! The car should remain in the family and Enjoyed ! Kind of how women pass down jewelery however most women would not agree ! I would be out there with afew friends a tow truck and lost of shovels!!!

she cleaned up nice. sorry to see the nose emblem in such bad shape (and the speakers in the doors), i hope u find a better emblem soon, we are having trouble locating one for our clone. I agree with you DRIVE them when you can.
@WetDirtProductions I'm jelous too! That car was only 697 ever produced which makes it rare and highly sought after. If you have an original 1969 Trans-Am especially unrestored, then what you have is a once and a life time thing!
Thanks for all of the great comments on both videos of this car. It has been sold and has a new owner in the midwest. Everyone keep looking, your dream car is sitting in a barn or garage near you!
@carbuffs my dream car wasnt stting in a barn or garage... it was sitting behind a garage i got myself a 1968 pontiac catalina 2+2 almost mint besides the passenger side quarter panel, i have it on the road as i work on it
Next trans am meet call Chris Paulson in santa barbara, he has one that is very original, very non-molested, very much the way it came from dealer. Oh, and its a convert.

I'm glad you didn't repaint it.. I was already amazingly well kept and is worth far more in its current condition. I love the whole style an rarity of these cars.. Very nice find.. Could you make another video on how you located the car?.....
Brilliant job and decision NOT to restore. Nice, original patina. You did everything right. Hats off.
