The strap is normal, tied off at the nut. He was playing a new Martin - seems that someone stepped on his old one just before this gig.

@DeanHoff That isnt a Martin, its actually a Mike Long guitar made by Mike long that makes steve gullys guitar and Brandon Rickmans Guitar.
