@kennylikes2lol you are right they should have an episdoe where Sam leaps back to his own time, or possibly earlier, but leaps back into himself younger where he could meet Al diffrently then he did before.

I like how Colonel Grat (Dean Stockwell) used the hand link like the controls to Ziggy, and how he said to Archer (Scott Bakula), "I'm sorry we couldn't have met under better circumstances." And then Archer agrees, "So am I." The characters they portray have no idea. Lol.

Oh, my! That really was a nod to old beloved Quantum Leap, wasn't it? I suppose that's what the writers/directors/producers had in mind and that's why they wanted Dean to make an appeareance as a guest star in their show. Really cool.
