  • love it ,check out my accord at vtecmadness1. they dont go bang.

  • where did you get that turbo manifold???and what brand is it???

  • @nicoriajomez47 straight line specialties

  • what did this cost to do?

  • hows the build holding up?

  • hey did u take out ur window washer bucket for your intercooler piping to fit?

  • you should probley invest in a torque damper and some polyurathane engine mount bushings for that nice swap cause it looks like your motor mounts are wearing out. because the enging rocking is hard on the trans and diff

  • missing the lower motor mount? that bitch shouldn't shake like that.

  • @jz are cheaper now a days :) just buy a 91+supra and you'll see... i sold mines

  • how do you tune your ecu after installing a turbo??

  • What turbo are you running?

  • Sleeves?

  • Stock motor, 3mm headgasket and headstuds

  • holy shit tight work :P

  • As I stated before, there was no front mount at the time of the dyno tuning. To run a 3" downpipe the crossmember had to be modified so the facilitation for the front mount was not there anymore. I built a new mounting point and used an adjustable sleeve to add tension. Worked very well. Car ran 11.70s that year, going much bigger now.

  • @8AV8OR2 Did you run 11.7 with stock axel? What kinda 60" times?

  • @8AV8OR2 could u daily this car if u wanted to? wat did this cost?

  • @xxnissansilviaxx was daily driven every day till he put the setup in an 01 civic, now going back to the accord

  • @xxnissansilviaxx was daily driven every day till he put the setup in an 01 civic, now going back to the accord

  • what going to happen to stock motor mounts under that pressure....Would that mess up you shafts that control the shifts...i heard its has to be very acurate and when the block torques back like that it would almost want to shift????

  • nice need some hasports motor mounts there r so solid power straght to the ground

  • need some engine mounts

  • does anyone know how many hp would get a f22a1 with a h22 head ????

  • about 210-220 hp...

  • hey did you end up putting the h22 head on your f22a1? i have the same motor

  • which is a better motor a h22 or a k motor

  • The H Series began in the 90's as honda made it there top high performance engines but soon the new K Series engines came in which blew out the H series there still a good engine but there obsolete

  • @Arrelevant69er K Series is also 5 times more expensive.....

    Thats like comparing a 4AFE to a 2JZ-GTE

  • @Arrelevant69er Wrong! H series has the best and closest Hp to torque ratio! K has 220 hp with 150 torquw. H has 210 with 161 torque. 100% factory. You can have all of the hp in the world but it won't do you any good without torque. K series motor swaps are too overated and too expensive. H series is cheaper, has a better HP-TQ ratio, and has more potential as a swap build anyways. In my opinion that is.

  • @AdrenalineJunky17 Torque means nothing when its already rolling.

  • @nitrousboy0311 Roll starts are for pussies that don't know how to setup a car, and don't have any throttle control. Digs are where the fun and the challenge is. B/c not only do you have to have a good setup(suspension, weight, and tires), you also have to know how to feather the throttle(if you spin that is), when to shift out of the spin(so that you don't bog or spin to much), and have the reaction time to tree the other guy. Digs is where the phrase "spinnin aint winnin" comes into play.

  • @AdrenalineJunky17 no they are not f22b1 are 145hp and 147tq best hp to tq ratio

  • @qpzmak H series dude H! Not F. Two completely different things.

  • @AdrenalineJunky17 no somebody said that h series had the best torque to hp ratio and i said that the f series had the best torque to hp ratio which is 145hp and 147 torque

  • @qpzmak Oh, my bad man. I thought you meant something else. But you are right. The F22 does have the closest HP-TQ, but I said the best and closest(meaning the highest yet closest) HP-TQ ratio was the H22. But yes, the all out closest is the F22.

  • duh K

  • does anyone know exactly how much hp a 95 accord will get with an h22. Like 190 hp?

  • yea bout 190 ta 200 hp

  • I jus put my engine in and I got a question for my fellow accordians. There was a little black box on/behind my intake manifold(jdm h22a), my dad broke it while we were putting in the engine(i think its called the iab solenoid). Do i need this box? and if so where could i get a new one?

another question is why have i seen some h22's without this box, and some without(like mine) the MAP sensor on the throttle body?

    Thanks in advance.

ps. i have already done days of research before hand

  • No you dont need it. Save your money and dont buy another one UNLESS the state you reside in has strict emissions. I took all Emissions off my Euro R H22... No charcoal box nothing but essential sensors like the MAP, TPS, etc.

  • my h22a map is on the TB. as for the black box,,, underside of the IM right? if so its the IAB like you said, theres little butterflys inside of the h22's IM that open up depending on the vac pressure. at low it helps/ruins bottom end power. everyone seems to have a different answer if it helps or not. i bought myself a SK2 IM and im running a p28 ECU which doesnt look for the IAB's anyways.

  • god dam lol need some better motor mounts on that bad boy

  • is it possible to put an obd1 h22 in a 96 accord?

someone told me that in 96 they changed to obd2.

but i thought it would not matter because its a COMPLETE swap.

    please someone help.

  • i have a 97 h22a in my 94 with a obd1 ECU, so yeah... possible.

  • did you do it?

does it give you any problems?

and the reason i ask is because obd2 engine cost more than obd1?????

  • origionally no, but ive redone the entire wiring harness when it comes to have h22, its the same wether its an obd1 or obd2, i know the obd2 has a knock sensor etc, but the obd1 ecu doesnt look for it so it doesnt matter. google is your best friend, research it.

  • yea its possible,., my cousin did a swap into his 99 prelude.. he got obd1 engine st8 from japan, and the jdm shop in toronto said its ganna be a hard swap, but him and his mechanic did it, and he said it was pretty easy one... but u have to plat around with the wiring a bit.

  • Its possible to convert your car into OBD1. Your's OBD2 since they changed it from 96+. You'll need a OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness to run a OBD1 ECU.

  • i got the jumper harness now bro. i also have the p13 obd1ecu, and the h22 wire harness(obd1). since the conversion harness was used do i still have to add any wires to the ecu?

  • I believe you still do since wires still needs to come from its sensor to the ECU pin point.

  • what did u have to do to your ecu?

  • I didn't do anything. I got myself a p28 chipped with H22 basemap from my local tuner and its all plug N play. p28 ECU wont be looking for knock sensor or iabs at all and my car is a OBD1, so its all plug N play.

  • Oh yeah, since the p28 wont be looking for knock sensor nor iabs I didn't bother hooking it up at all since its gonna be a waste of time.

  • o, ok so you skipped the middle man. so is the p28 that u have in your car running well, i mean u arent throwing any codes right?

yesterday i installed the new monts. today im putting the f22 tranny on the h22 engine. and by the end or middle of august i should have it completed.

  • Yes, it ran pretty good and no CEL at all. If there's a CEL then something is not right or could be a faulty ECU(which is what happened to me with my F22B1 setup).

  • too bad its front wheel drive

  • you can just HEAR that shit hit vtec so hard lol

  • lol... at least vtec worked. cos if not that could have sucked bad.

  • engine damper FTW

  • new motor mounts???

  • it does shake quite a bit

  • Wow thats freakin sweet. I didn't know that H22's could also produce a nice amount like that.

  • thats a stock motor insane ,how much money would this cost for the tune and software

  • i cut the center section out of the crossmember and plated the ends, then replaced the center with 2" x 2" square tubing, then a custom front mount, made all the difference in the world for downpipe clearance

  • @8AV8OR2 dang dude, u need some solid motor mounts or somethin. that engine is pullin some power

  • we were running without a front mount at the time. Had to fab up a smaller one after as we had modified the cross-member to run a 3" downpipe.

  • what did you do in terms of modification to the cross member because it's a tight fit for my downpipe too. any drawbacks from doing what you did?

  • Looks like you need some ESP poly mounts....they make a BIG difference

  • I agree, that motor looked like it was ready to jump out of the engine bay and take off on its own...LOL
