@ronald3729 You have to enable hibernation first. Go to Control panel, choose Power option, then the 'Hibernate' tab and then tick the "Enable hibernation" box. After that just do what is in the video. Hope it'll help!
Well, its not that easy! First you have to have about 400MB available so you can ACTIVATE Hibernation. So you have to activate it (administrators only) and let it use 400MB of your disk space, THEN you do shift at the choosing screen.
for vista you can type "powercfg /hibernate on" without quotes to activate. Then, hybrid sleep is available. From there, you can edit advanced power settings to disable hybrid sleep, and you will have normal, traditional full hibernate mode. Should be an administrtor to use.
Personally, i think Hybrid Sleep is useless and a waste of space, but...
*Note that after using powercfg /hibernate on, a new file should appear in %systemdrive%\hiberfil.sys.
What do you mean it dorsn't work? Are you sure you are using XP? And if so, what edition and service pack? I performed this on XP Media Center Edition and

@newman30000010 probably you have hibernate turned off.
right-click on the desktop and there will be properties,
from there go to screen saver->power->hibernate tab and click on the checkbox "enable hibernate".
then ok->ok and try again.

@1EvilClown1 It may not have enough disk space on the system partition for hibernation to work. Free up some space.
