i saw this movie when i was 12 with my parents it was my first theatre movie its a classic i only hope clint eastwoods version is as good!! i liked kris but elvis or mick jagger were also considered 4 his role thats why mick filmed lets spend the night together in the axact arena from this movie in 83 watch it! i like how you get to view the crowd from the helicopter that was cool the best rock and roll movie ever

What a great love story and I love this movie. The chemistry between Kris and Barbara is awesome. It's so tender and so sexy when Barbara takes Kris's face in her hands when they're singing 'Evergreen'.

@Simith1 As far as the word geezer goes I am over 70 and also consider myself a geezer. I have also been a boozer in my younger days but am not now. So when I see a fellow boozer I recognize one of the same ilk. In my later comments I also noted that Kristofferson needed to fortify himself with Jack Daniels when he was working with The Great Barbara. Jewish women are very pushy and hard to deal with. I was an extra in the movie "Semi-Tough" which Kris did in Dallas & Miami in 1977. He was a "mess" back then BUT a really nice guy. I guess things even out.

Burt "Buddy" Reynolds was a total ass and if you saw him in "Boogie Nights", he wasn't acting for that movie. He's not likable.
