@LongviewGD182 Garage punk goes as a far back as the late 1950s. it's why the Ramones dressed up in biker leather wear. Their style of Post garage punk and rock-a-billy was in homage to the late 50s and early 60s.. which then British Mod followed. Ramones were quoted as modern punks in the 70s by some magazine.. the name then stuck as PUNK. The Jam followed up with trying to bring back the Mod scene but by then they just referred to it as Post Punk.
