Once when my daughter was three our lights were off due to an ice storm and as we walked down the dark hall to bed she did something strange with her hands next to her head as though she was turning a knob. I ask what she was doing and she said "I am turning on my eyelights". When I ask her what and how do you do this. She replied matter of factly "all you have to do is open your soul"! Not manys religion would be in accord with these concepts at all...? Basically, we're all walking Gods creating reality, collectively. Everything is a metaphor, however, you're right on that, most religions are based on the metaphors.
