  • Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich and others, heads the Senate Armed Services Committee, said the hearings will look into "the propriety of the procurement process of the KC-X tanker blast us law makers for betrayal and out sorcing america

  • did europeans ever complain as we bought billions of $ worth of US fighter jets and the like....i dont remember any instances of that, and i think the US sells a hell of a lot more defence equipment to us than we sell to them.

  • All WTO countries in theory have the obligation to buy the cheapest military hardware, but in reality, there is a lot of US pressure to buy their products. And of course they do not care about WTO rules. The A330 was cheaper, everybody knows that, but media/lobby were stronger...

  • Didn't this politician have to resign? Hope he enjoys his federal government retirement.

  • Never heard in Germany nor elsewhere in Europe the "Buy European" phrase:

What i can´t understand is that Apple manufactures it´s products in China and re-importing it. Where are that job´s for Americans. European manufacturers are creating jobs in America BMW, Mercedes, Schott Solar, SAP, Alliance, ARAG, Osram...

  • I think Boeing nor Airbus aren´t first caring about American or European Jobs. They care about their stock holders. I never heard any claim from the Europeans as the Polish gov bought F-16 Jets for their Air Force and decided against the Eurofighter. However the decision is made by the consumer not by the goverments. Elsewise it would be socialistic. Even Boeing uses an suppliers from japan, China and Europe for their Dreamliner.

  • @ozeangruen Thats a stupid reason to give that Poland chose the F-16 over the Eurofagger. The reason the Poles bought the F-16 is because Germany invaded Poland and they don't like Krauts. The Poles were very upset as Britain and France did nothing but watch France being invaded on the newsreels. By the way F-16 is a superior airplane thats easy to maintain compared to the Eurofagger.

  • @LottoWinner999 In 2005, a trainer Eurofighter T1 was reported to have had a chance encounter the previous year with two U.S. Air Force F-16 Es over the Lake District in the north of England. The encounter became a mock dogfight with the Eurofighter emerging victorious.

  • @LottoWinner999 Europeans create jobs in the USA because your government outsourced jobs to China. Volkswagen for example brought 50,000 jobs to the US and Companies are multinational. If the Europeans build airplanes in the U.S. they do not create European jobs but jobs in the USA. Even your main battle tank used a German gun.

  • @LottoWinner999 if you care so much about poland write to your representatives for Poland then no longer need a visa for the USA. If we're at it, give the Statue of Liberty back to the French also what American innovations?

You Americans seem to have forgotten that the Germans already have Jets while you still flying around with propeller aircraft.

  • @44a335g5632fIF Considering how the USAF liberated and liberated Frances twice in WW1 and WW2 the statue of liberty was paid for along time ago. When the Nazi lost WW2 they lost every thing and that to bad for them but we were working on the jets to. So its no big deal how about if the if the Wright Brothers had no flown we would you would not be were you are to today.

  • @LottoWinner999 You talk real trash, Wernher von Braun built your rockets. Nazi scientists got the U.S. citizenship. The first jet fighter, the Sabre looking damn similar to the German TA 183. Once “bleached” of their Nazism, the US Government granted the scientists security clearance to work in the United States. Eighty-six aeronautical engineers were transferred to Wright Field, where the US had Luftwaffe aircraft and equipment captured under Operation Lusty (Luftwaffe Secret Technology).

  • @LottoWinner999 In 1959, ninety-four Operation Paperclip men went to the US, including Friedwardt Winterberg and Friedrich Wigand.Throughout its operations to 1990, Operation Paperclip imported 1,600 men, as part of the intellectual reparations owed to the US and the UK, some $10 billion in patents and industrial processes! So much for American know-how and by tha way William Edward Boeing Born to a wealthy German mining engineer named Wilhelm Böing...

  • @44a335g5632fIF Its seems all Nazi Invincible ME-262 were shot + had no fuel because USAAF destroyed Germanys capacity to make fuel. Hey on Utube U can watch "Tuskeegee Airman Defeats Nazi Jets" One African American pilot shot down three ME-262's in 40 mintes. The German Luftwaffe was a joke and America owned the skys of Germany!

  • @LottoWinner999 in gratitude for that they receive after almost 30 years their civil rights! I've never read such a rubbish. This is about business and profit maximization.Companies do not know of Patriotism. If the Me-262 was such a flop, why did they then moved her to the U.S. In fact no European jobs would be created if Airbus had received that order. Have you done your graduation in the nursery?

  • @44a335g5632fIF Hey Asshole USA already had operation jets too + about the same time as and maybe sooner and you can watch, " America's FIRST operational jet and worlds fastest jet " on youtube. Oh lets not forget who the ultimate weapon and its to bad Germany Unconditionally Surrenders to so. If U Krauts had fought another 4 month we would have Nuked Berlin + Essen. Of course U Krauts have 1001 excuses as to why you lost WW2. Germany lost WW2 because their a bunch on Nazi Dumb-Fucks assholes

  • it's not only french...

  • U.S. defense equipement should be made in the U.S. PERIOD. I don't care if Airbus/EADS is French, German, whatever. U.S. military assets should be American made. If NorthropGrumman wants to build at tanker, they should build their own airframe, here in the U.S.!!!

  • @ramguy94For years Boeing had no serious competitor. I think they wanted to sell an outdated plane but in new shape to the Air Force. In my opinion the bidding winner is still the Airforce. In my opinion the Airbus is the better plane, I belive in Germany´s reliability, quality and even perfection.

  • nevermind the fact that airbus is only 1/4th french... and that these planes will be built in the US by americans.

  • empty rhetoric, as usual... americans talk about the propaganda of others and anti-americanism... but their media and government are superpowers at deception, and anti-europeanism runs rampant... but are so used to it that they don't even notice it anymore.

  • they dont care about the 50.000 jobs or the 40billion dollars, it is all about prestige and national pride! americans are sore losers!

  • ohh the irony, America "we fight for a free world" until you lose a deal of course then you cant stop crying!

anyway, the bidding is reopened for Boeing now so you may not need so many tissues

*i kidding by the way, :-)

  • airbus is not french... but don't let that get in the way of your bigotry.

  • Boeing does better work.

  • @cmatos2007 everybody knows that Germany works a a way better

  • @ozeangruen "Germany works a a way better?" What the hell does that mean?? What is "a a " ??!

  • @cmatos2007 The term "Made in Germany" is associated with product reliability, quality and even perfection. Airbus is partly "Made in Germany"

  • @ozeangruen Ok I see. Well...as an engineer, I have worked with Germans before. They are a great bunch to work with. However, I've noticed one big trend in German Engineering. I've noticed a sacrifice in Reliability in order to meet deadlines. Don't get me wrong, they do good work.....great work even. But its not the best work I've seen.

  • @cmatos2007 as engineer you know that customers pushing hard with contract penalty if you can´t keep the deadline millions of Dollars falling due. As engineer you get pressure twice, one from the customer and from your companie´s white collars.

  • @ozeangruen Very true. Which is why I prefer American.

  • ....Blasts the French Airbus Tanker Deal

This sentence shows that the author didn't have any idea from Airbus. AIRBUS ISN'T FRENCH!

France owns 22,5% - the same like Germany. The biggest shareholder is daimler (Germany), chief is Thomas Enders (Germany) and the production is distributed all over Europe (Germany, France, Great Britain and Spain), mainly in Germany and France.

  • Airbus does better work.
