Probably didn't work because he's already changed his MAC address before. So for you, do a custom MAC address and change the last number in your MAC address from anything 1 - 9.

this works 100% the only thing i suggest is when you have to choose "default mac adress" or "use this mac adress" you just use "use this mac adress". ITS VERY important you change a few letters and numbers before you hit apply. than restart modem and router and wallaaa new ip. fucking love netgear

this is weird... it worked for me at first ...i switched the mac and then applied and rebooted and then checked the ip and it was different.. but 5 minutes later and i couldnt connect to the internet .. so i just took out the plugs from modem and router and rebooted comp and now i can connect to the internet but its the same ip.. i dont get it ... can anyone help ? thanx

Nice video, or , you can hit 'use this computers mac address' I think it needs to be connected via cable to the router though, and it will work. I think all you did was clone the mac address, didn't watch whole thing :P.

But a MAC address is like, well, a code for the hardware, the ISP will have a public IP ready for your MAC whenever you connect to the internet (Same one too). This is why your IP changes whenever you connect a different router or connect via cable to modem.
