I see this as reverse psychology: if you put a video up with something as farreaching as the prospect of true AI, most ppl will be skeptical if it is said to be true. but by "programmer FF" saying that it is a joke we stop and think it may in fact be the opposite

Although I agree with many of Paul's beliefs, I don't think Eidolon would be gung-ho for him, especially since Paul makes many of his decisions based on his christian faith. I'm not saying Paul wouldn't make the best president at this point, but in terms of rationality, I can see Eidolon "picking" someone like Mike Gravel, who calls out the corruption AND thinks that anyone who doesn't believe in evolution has some screws loose...

Why does CENNS use such an incredibly long update cycle, especially considering Moore's Law should mean that such a cycle should shorten considerably? What predictive means do they use to establish the update cycle?

Do you expect the Blue Gene hosting system to transition from PowerPC architecture, thus possibly requiring major code revisions for your software?

IBM has an investment of more than 20 years in that particular architecture, including the XL compiler. It is unlikely that its commitement will change in the near future.

IBM also created the x86 architecture, which is what most home computers use. Many organizations have abandoned PPC for x86, most notably Apple. The change requires significant changes in code that could impact the very nature of such an AI, depending on it's adaptive design.

I wonder how Eidolon has coped with previous architecture changes?

I watch things I don't 'believe' all the time - for enjoyment. My detractors are easily distracted from their own suspension of disbelief for the purpose of their own enjoyment. Not my problem.

Simply not being rated means someone isn't trying to obscure them. I am not the first, and wouldn't be the last to tell YouTube that it's comment rating system (at least as it is) is a bad idea. My commentary on the difference in video style is hardly irrelevant, nor is speculating on the intent behind the 'fear of the superiors'. My commentary on censorship is relevant to the actions of those trying to prevent my previous commentary. Your opinion of relevance is not a fact for everyone.

The comment when viewed using "View all ## comments" should show my above message as a reply to the user euid. They didn't like me speaking of my observations of Eidolon's behaviors which demonstrated he is not a completely autonomous AI - which the 'making of' video corroborated. Thus, he started using the comment voting system to try to prevent my comments from being seen. That's censorship.
