  • I have been going to Duxford for many years, this plane made the hairs on my neck stand up. The moment that stood out for me was on takeoff, the pilot gunned it so hard it physically blew a hole in the runway, every car alarm activated and my chest was wrecked. FCUKING LOVE THIS PLANE

  • @sossageking i love the feeling in your chest as one of these things go past same with the euro fighter, feels fantastic

  • It's a shame Duxford doesn't invite her anymore :(

  • this and the concorde are the two best planes ever built

  • ...it is such a stately sculpture as is moves around the sky.......a very beautiful form. I'm so glad they got it back into the air.............

  • such "grace"

  • omg i want to see this plane :(

  • 2.41 minutes of flight. wonder how much costs in fuel :S

  • THEY RESTORED THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD !!

17th May is her air show!

  • What is the date on this footage ?

  • If i remember correctly this was on the 6th September 2008.

  • my birthday!!!

  • i was there!!! what a day

  • didn't john travolta have one ? they were retired as very heavy on juice?

  • Thanks for posting this - I've posted a similar vide of her, but not half as professional!

It was great to see her flying again after all this time but I'm sure they were taking it easy - I remember seeing this aircraft at a Mildenhall years ago and even though she was a spec in the distance the sound was over-powering! There is some pretty good vintage Vulcan footage on YouTube, if you search for it...

  • Wowee! How beautiful is she? I put aloada money into that trust to get her flying & I'm crazy cos I've not seen her yet. Went to Riat...well you know what happened there. Haven't been able to see her anywhere else. Even my Dad saw her flying whilst walking the dog!!! By chance! Aaargh. Is she going to go up anymore this year or do I have to be patient?

  • you a photo person, air cadet, or vip cos they were the only people at riat this year rofl !

  • Great to see the Vulcan back after so many years. Very nicely filmed - thanks. I'm really not being critical, but the display was VERY sedate by the standards of the past. I suppose that we can't blame them though, considering just how unique the aeroplane is. Perhaps they'll demonstrate more of the flight envelope as time goes on. For those that have never seen the aerobatic performance of a lightly loaded Vulcan.... you don't know what you've missed LOL.

  • Stunning.

  • is this a russian strategic bomber?

  • No, this is a British bomber. It only served in the RAF.

  • Beautiful - well done! Thanks for sharing it with us.

  • Absolutely beautiful. Just an awesome sight. Great to see her back in the sky again. Well captured.

  • Excellent vid. Wish I'd gone there instead of Southport! :(

  • Really nicely put together and smooth filming. Just lovely, thank you.
