@schnids1605 i'm not sure if it's a retractable roof like the Igloo's but even if it is they won't be able to open it during games because of the jumbotron.

Ive just remembed tho, anyone seen the movie "SUDDEN DEATH" wit Jean Claude Van Dam? it was filmed at Mellon Arena & towards the end of the film, the roof opened.

Mellon Arena's dome roof can't open anymore because of the addition of the scoreboard, and I'm almost positive that the roof of the Consol Energy Center can't open at all.
