@JaxsonXIII It exists due to a cutscene that is only found in KH2FM. Because of that cutscene, they must have data for this room. If you want to see the cutscene, it is somewhere after the first visit to Space Paranoids.

@KeviinSquareEnix actually, the room aqua left ventus was the room of awakening which was indeed part of castle oblivion. this is the room of sleep that xehanort and his comrades created to house aqua's armor. xehanort and later xemnas visited the room in order to found out more of his past. xemnas tried to find the room of awakening at the castle oblivion, but he never found it.

Wrong. This is not Castle Oblivion. If you played final mix you will understand that Xigbar(Braig) explained that there are two rooms, firstly the room of awakening and the room of sleep. This is the room of sleep, the room of awakening is in castle oblivion which no one knows where it is until the next kingdom hearts game appears.

ventus body is in Chamber of Sleeping where Xemnas is looking by sending members to find it which is in Castle Oblivion that aqua made to keep ven safe(again Terra half is looking for him)

I can't remember where I found this info (I think the kh wikia page about the room of repose), but I remember reading that Ansem the Wise ordered the underground part of the laboratory sealed away. Xehanort reopened it after he banished Ansem to the realm of darkness.

In KH1's Ansem's reports, the author mentions going into the depths of the laboratory where they put those who had lost their hearts to the darkness.
