Point is 200 MILLION gallons A DAY has to go SOMEWHERE. If not the beach, then it settles on the coral and sea beds; if not there, then into the currents of the Gulf and the Atlantic. In other words, it is THERE somewhere. Same as global oil spills in Nigeria, Valdez and latest New Zealand oil tanker crash. OIL is IN the Oceans. .

@wogfun Most places in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi are just random tar balls. 99% of all beaches in those three states are open and no oil has been found. Some had tar balls that BP cleaned up. I know because I live down here. Only beaches this bad were a few spots in Louisiana. NOT ALL SPOTS. WAKE UP!

This is nothing, what will wash up soon will be beyond belief. BP is salvaging 200million gallons a day from the leak, BUT that is only 20% of what they CAN catch coming out of the well. Do the math

@Faztlan it can't be safely tapped in anwar. there was a BP pipeline blowout in alaska last year that released millions of gallons and polluted a very large area of pristine land. this bullshit about "safe" drilling is just that. BULLSHIT.

I saw this myself in Alabama 7/12 and could not bring myself to film it. I was so sick and devastated from what I saw I threw up on the oil covered beach.

@Mredgarthetallone That and you live on top of a Natural Gas reserve (america's biggest) which has a nuclear storage facility on top of it and the crust between the two being only 50 feet thick. Meaning if a plane crashed anywhere on that reserve and cracked the crust - igniting the gas....

Who's to blame? Look in the mirror. BP wouldnt have been out there drilling past the limits of safety if it wasnt for us fat asses demanding it. You get in a car thats made from tons of oil, and burn oil for miles and miles as you drive on tires made from oil, on a road made of oil, to a parking lot made of oil, to buy cheap plastic shit made out of oil and shipped halfway around the world on oil burning ships, trains, and trucks. Food included. We live on oil, and we WILL keep buying it.
