  • Do Pigeons Carry Disease?

  • beddings arent expensive? what will be the best alternatives if I dont want to use beddings?

  • I love your loft and I think I might use the same desighn. If it isnt too much trouble do you know the mesurments of it?

  • Hey, Im new with pigeons i have have 4 birds I would just like to know if you have to train the pigeons to come back to the loft or will they just come back by there self? :D

  • ive been keeping pigeons for quite a few years now but i still found your video very informative and it made very ejoyable viewing. CARL

  • @MrCarlr7 thank you. I've enjoyed having them. I really need to get off my butt and make more videos

  • I am thinking about becoming a pigeon fancier myself and I enjoy your videos because they are very informative. My question for you is where did you get your birds? And how do you raise your babies?

  • I found a listing on a local classified site that someone was trying to sell them. My birds are not the high bred racing birds or homers they are just hobby birds for entertainment you can get birds like mine for about $3 a bird. when you get into racing birds you can spend anywhere from $10 - $1,500.

The parents will do most of the raising. When I bought them and brought them to the new loft their parents got confused and stopped feeding them.

Keep them warm and get kaytees bird formula

  • Thank you. I am not thinking about racing birds for a good while so I am not worried about breeds.

I should of asked this in my last comment but what mix do you feed them?

  • @Rizrsniper i think you could feed them something high in protien- like a mix of grains, corns, nuts and other things!

  • @Rizrsniper You should start off with what ever kind of birds you want. I recomend Homers! Make big enough for you to stand and walk around. If you plan to have more kinds of birds than homers, tumblers etc. Make sections for your different breeds. So they don't cross. What ever you buy and put it in ur section provided for that species. Breed them and they will take care of their young. Ask fanciers in your area. But like I said I will prefer Homers over any other kind anyday. Thats what I have
