I remember Mrs. Lilly leading this at Macedonia M. B. Church in Brookhaven, MS so many times along with so many great spirituals that you just dont hear anymore. I feel blessed to have been graced by her voice so many Sundays. What's amazing to me is, I've been watching a lot of these M.M.C. clips on YouTube back to back and in the comments, no one ever mentions these super gifted musicians that are making the singer sound as gifted as they are. Also from what I'm hearing, the singers are very good but without the musicians, they're like cornflake without the milk, they both compliment one another so, lets hear some names of these super bad musicians like for one, bassman Allen Golden. Mommadee.....It might be a remake but the MS Mass didn't put this out until after 1988 because that is when they formed. I think this was their second album. So, the 70s 80s must have been another choir

Yeah. Most of the churches sent their mass/adult choir to the union every 2nd Sunday night. Each choir paid their dues (usually paid to the host church to offset cost of facility usage). We went down the list of partcipating churches to determine the host so everybody got a chance.

Each choir marched up (most were MBCs) sang two songs and marched down while the next choir marched up.

It was soooo much fun.

l0l that is the exact way it is here in tallahassee florida.our choir was in the 3rd sunday choir union.each choir would sing one song and march down while the other one would come up.they would kill that march l0l.and the union would rotate to different churches every month.and when one choir only had a few other choirs would come and help them out.i would enjoy going to them.but since it has shut down last year they will have a reunion for choirs that have been in it since the 60's.
