@nap007rz Mine training videos + FF compainion. There is a 100 page long doc about navigation but it is unecessary for playing. For what you need for regular player you can find in my videos.

@molnibalage83 your navigational training video only covers for landing, I'm still confused with the navigational system.... and things like that console below the HUD and the small display on the right of that console... are they explained in the manual? falcon 4 manual or the free falcon manual?

@nap007rz You literally do not have to use ICP +DED for naviagtion. Everythign that have to be used in this panel is explained moreover, reprogramming of the steerpoint has literally no use I just showed.

@nap007rz Shift + key next to right shift. I have Hungarian keyboard, I do not know the English. BTW check the sp3_keyboard-map.pdf in \Docs\SP3 dir.

I'm currently downloading free falcon 5.5.5, gotta ask, where can I get the manual and tutorial for every planes? what fighter plane will suit a newbie? and oh, FF can be played in single player right?

@nap007rz In \_the_MANUALS folder you can find the Companion Guide and description of pother pits. OLNY the F-16CJ pit is fully clickable and functional. For a newbie it is HIGHLY recommended to learn fly with F-16CG/CJ, than if your skills are fine lets try other AC.

All AC have the same MFD but the position of instruments, buttons and switches are different. For some AC there is onle one MFD that makes harder to operate them.

is it better to read the companion or should I start with falcon 4 manual? I have just become quite familiar with Jane's F-18 sim btw... and I played some survey sims back then in the 90s... so I know the basics...

@nap007rz IMHO forgot the old manual. Since SP3, the avionics is much advanced. In first step I recommend my traning videos. As I can remember sope parts of Companion came from SuperPAK3/SuperPAK4 manual. I will pinpoint you manual with pages that is required to use at least minimal level the avionics.

Anyone else have an issue in FF 5.5 when you are on a A2G mission and you switch to A2A to take out a few enemy jets, then you can't get back on A2G weapons at all?

Love the game, but its absolutely killing me with the bugs.

@123backinyerface My guess you used override modes by pressing 'm' or 'd'. You have to exit from any override mode tu use MASTARMODE. There is AA mastermode, NAV mastermode and AG mastermode.

Pl. chack my training videos, especially the "understanding MFDs and mastermodes"...

There is no bug in this area you just simply do not understand the game. Do you belive the devs relese the game with such a big (non existen) bug?

@molnibalage83 Damn straight I don't understand the game, the manual is like a novel, I think learning Chinese would be easier....lol. I haven't played a flight sim in over 20 years since the Commodore 64 days. I have been playing this for about a week, I have managed to do a few missions on easy avionics but I want to know the realistic. I thought it was a bug because the game crashes after most campaign missions. I will be checking out your vids, thanks for the tip though.

@martiner FF runs well on quite old HW, only a strong CPU is needed and abot 2GB RAM. Falcon is not VGA (GPU) limited.

Do the new playable planes simply have new graphics with F-16 capabilities or do they have new flight characteristics?

@Nightmonkey17 Some AC have tweaked fligh model. Possibility for avionics modeling is the same as was. There are features that can be available or not for AC and they are defined by modeling values. If you fly with any AC you will have F-16 radar modes, MFDs, TGP image, ect.

@TomSpace13 Win 7 64 bit is causing problem for many players. I'm not familiar with any VGA and OS issues, I have never had any problem to run any version of Falcon. I can't help you. I recommend to you use older OS for Falcon. I use XP64.

@nathie97 You can fly all AC, but with limitations. Every AC have F-16 MFD and HUD symbology and many AC do not have cockpit. (F-15 has, but you can buy more for Aeyes site).

No, you don't need to the original (1998) Falcon 4.0 (and not FreeFalcon4.0, FreeFalcon 4.0 never existed, was FF4) anymore. Just download and install. Do not forget download

also the 5.3 patch.

In campaign you don't have. In single missions (Tactical Engagement) you can put on some AC, but the simulation is no to advanced.

Some AC in OF have better 3D model and higher res skins but FF5.0 also have some that OF doesn't have. Effects in FF5.0 much nicer then in OF.

No. FF and OF is a two different thing. Install F4.0 and after FF5.0. To playing OF you have to uninstall FF5.0 and install again F4.0 and after OF4.5 + 4.7.

You FF5.0 and OF4.x use the same registry so in normal way you can't install both of them.
