The Catholic Church was dear to my Mother a beautiful black Women who came home one day at age seven and asked her Mother to let her be baptised.It help make her the wonderful person she was.I miss her.

The church has to do more to let its people know they will not tolerate sex abuse of any kind.When someone committ an act like this they cast dirt on the body of CHRIST and theres no excuss at all.A priest who dose this can be forgiven and recieve help but they should never be allowed to serve as a priest again.NEVER.Other then that i love the catholic church and i feel the presence of Christ THERE.

I love the Catholic Church because it touched the life of someone who i loved.My Mother.But i hate to think about the bad things the church did in the past like burning people to death for not following their way and their way alone.Yet i still love the Catholic church more then any other church.I guess theres more good then bad in the church and you must learn to forgive.I go to mass every weekend and i feel good when i leave.Im not a catholic yet but i go to catechism class every weds night

@umaara100 Over all the bad its the home of the physical Christ, Our Lady, her apparitions, her rosary, the countless miracles, and a sound doctrine on how to be perfect, because our Heavenly Father is perfect. My classmates were part of the Boston Abuse scandal. Not all the bad is in the past. just be on guard. If you feel like priests are treating Mass as a performance & not Calvary, RUN! My mother said that she wishes she had done this when she sat & accepted the "Masses" of these abusers.
