when solving a 5x5 do you start from the inside and work your way out? sorry never solved one before

@raydencarter you solve all the centers and then get all the edges paired up (except you dont figure out the corners yet). Then you solve it like a typical 3x3x3 rubik's cube.

I don't know the name of it but it came with my first 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube back in 2008. I just call it the Rubik's Method because it came with the cube and I don't know what else to call it : D You can find the method by going to Dan Browns latest How To on the 3x3x3. Except the second layer algorithms are a little different to the ones that came with my cube.

V cubes come in White and Black, Rubik's makes something basically the same as a V Cube 5 Black. Maybe Eastsheen does something.

I completely agree with you. Even numbered cubes are deffinitely not my thing and yes the 7x7 is deffintely more stable than the 6x6 by all means. i think your being smart by waiting for the pillowed version to come out

The only reason why thrawsts cube did that is because when he popped like the first or second time an internal core piece came out with one of the center edges, but he didnt want to take the time to put the core piece back in so he only put the center edge piece back in and since the core wasnt stable without the core piece, the whole cube just crumbled. (i know this because its happened to me too)

Sure you can. I just set up my v-cube 5 just to see how much parity you could actually get heh. Just from setting it up and doing all the edges incorrectly except two, I got 9 parity errors :D All in good fun :P

No, use the eastsheen. It's fully adjustable, it doesn't need lube out of the box (it's better than a Rubiks would ever be with lube and customization). The record is set with an Eastsheen, and 90% (I think) of all times under 1:00 are done with an eastsheen 4x4 :)

I have tutorials for the 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5 which can be found on my channel under playlists. The basic idea for the bigger cubes (4x4 and on) is to do what's called 'reduction'. You do this by grouping the center pieces, then matching edges to form what is essentially a mixed up 3x3 cube. You can then solve it like a 3x3 by turning the outer layers. Check out my tutorials and I show how to do it.

Do the springs have to do anything with all this clicking I'm hearing? Clicking is not a big problem, but apparently with all the v cubes, there is clicking sounds.

I believe there is clicking because of the internal structure and parts on the inside of the cube. They slide over one another and I believe make that noise. It just shows how connected and supported these pieces are, almost like they are locked in. Clicking isn't really noticeable when speedsolving.
