Kick it up a notch by putting ceramic tile on top. Butt the tiles tight together and use silicone caulking for grout.

It wasnt a nice looking table, it a cheap and nasty looking thing with nail holes full of filler which will never hide. I need to start making videos and posting them here to show how it should be done
