Religion will NEVER bring anybody to the kingdom of God. People, be aware: THERE IS NO SALVATION THROUGH RELIGION!!!!!!! Only by the grace of God, and faith in Jesus we are saved. No other way!! no church, no prophet, no pastor, nobody! NOBODY! only Jesus, because what He did, not because what we do! Also, Read Hebrews 9:27. There is no "second" chance! Salvation MUST be accepted while we are here, breathing! God woudn't change His own words! Repent now! Salvation is here! Jesus is the Lord!
@adalbertomodesusa im a Catholic but if no religion will save you how will you know Jesus? how will you know your faith how will you know truth? yes religion wont save you but it brings you closer to Jesus witch in turn saved you
Look at the other Prophets and compare them to Joseph Smith. Prophets gave signs and miracles. Joseph Smith gave none. A Prophet never raised his hand or sword to defend himself. Joseph Smith used a gun to defend himself from his assassins (therefore he wasnt a martyr). When a Prophet was slandered, his only response was the Word of God. Joseph Smith burned down a printing press for slandering the Mormon teachings. And a Prophet never made himself the head of anything. General Joseph Smith did.
Adam was not a prophet. He preached to no one. Prophets told people the consequences of their actions, Nathan to David, Samuel to Saul, Moses to Pharoah, etc.
Whenever a person claims to be speaking for God (the essence of prophecy) the key is to compare what is said with what the Bible says. If God were to speak through a person today, it would be in 100% complete agreement with what God has already said in the Bible. God does not contradict Himself.
There is a flaw in the logic that some of the prophecies of Joseph Smith or other prophets have not yet come true. Take, for example, Isaiah from the Old Testament who lived hundreds of years before Jesus.
I imagine that 150 years after Isaiah made his prophecies about the Savior, that many people mocked and said "Look at Isaiah's false prophecies which haven't come true."
Of course they did come true. There is a danger in being shortsighted.
If the purpose of a prophet was to reveal truth from God, why would we need prophets if we have the completed revelation from God in the Bible? If prophets were the foundation of the early church, are we still building the foundation today? Can God give someone a message to deliver to someone else? Absolutely! Does God reveal truth to someone in a supernatural way and enable that person to deliver that message to others? Absolutely! But is this the biblical gift of prophecy? No.
true, you do not have to accept it as a complete revelation. However, if LDS teachings do not fit into the scripture then we can not accept it as part of the sacred works of GOd.
Jesus taught that He would send the Comforter to teach us all things. (John 14:26) It is through the Holy Ghost that I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God.
Possibly, But I see the fruits of the spirit in my life growing in increasing measure as well yet the Holy Spirit has told me that the BOM is false. So, if we use those to judge wether or not a book is from God then GOd is contradicting himself. We must admit we believe the ways we do firstly because we feel it to be true, but feelings are often wrong. Is there something we can compare LDS teachings to, to see if they are true or not?
In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things
So, sorry, no more need for prophets. This video is anti-christian propoganda
And what about Matthew 23:34 "Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:."
Or Matthew 7:15 where Jesus teaches how to discern a true prophet from a false prophet.
Or Ephesians 4:11-14 "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers..."
So, Jesus is no longer the only mediator between us and God. That is the message here. Jesus was what the prophets foretold. Now there is Jesus. I still see no connection between J. Smith and the two that are spoken of in revelation. That is just imagined interpitation.
I am grateful the heavens are opened and that Heavenly FAther in charge not the theology of men. For the he will do as he chooses not man. I know he has purpose to call men to be prophets, that has not changed since Adam.
Nice message but like in every organized religion they are only few who are saved who depend not on works.I am not mormon or any organized religion I am a christian and I am part of the true church of Christ.I have one doctrine and that is Through faith in Christ we are saved and made righteoss, for we died on the cross with him.He is Good.
Rev 22;12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his **work** shall be.
I guess we are saved by works after all and don't forget "faith without works is dead" as well. Thus we see that we are saved by grace after all we can do. After all you cant say that this is a free ride this experience of life is intended for a testing period.
Yea he is going to test our works, after we were saved through faith and not our works. After we have our foundation in our faith than can we build with works which shall not perish.
I am so grateful to God for restoring prophets to the modern earth who testify of Jesus Christ and bring continuing revelation to the earth. The gospel of Jesus Christ is alive and vibrant. All are invited to study the words of the prophets and then ask God if they are true.
Thank you for posting this so other could see it more readily. I absolutely agree with what is said here. I love our prophets and this gospel, which contains the FULLNESS of God's word. Thank you for sharing this.
god dosent change or his pattern men change and try to change his plan and say we need no prophets there is no more.I testify to the world that we have prophets today who testify of christ and serve him to the end like in the days of old. They are gods mouthpieces on the earth....great video lds999..
Any psychologist will tell you feelings aren't knowledge. If I thought that every time I felt anything, I'd be pretty messed up. Actually, I gain my knowledge from facts and critical thinking about my life. I encourage you to do the same.
I believe the Lord expects us to do our part with critical thinking. He said, "But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right." We do our part to understand, the Lord does His.
Jesus Christ promised, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
There is no one doctrine that "proves" to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. My faith comes through applying this principle of asking God if it is true and receiving an answer.

Actually many Prophets and Patriarchs went to war. Moses, David, Joshua, Saul, Abraham, Elijah
All of them killed under the commandment of God, however under the new covenant, violence is rebuked
God Bless and don't be so harsh, if you insult Joseph Smith someone who loves him will only resent you and close their ears to your message.

And why must we believe that the Bible is the "completed revelation from God"?
In my opinion, if God wants to continue to speak, we should not try to limit Him to one book.

There's also Acts 11:25-30. "And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch."
It's obvious that one of the characteristics of early Christians is that they accepted prophets!
And what about the prophecy about two prophets in Revelation 11?
In fact, there is no greater need for prophets than today to help prepare for the Lord's coming.

Jesus is the Mediator. See my video entitled: Mormon Doctrine: The Mediator - Mormon Theology.
However, God has always called prophets to be his mouthpiece on earth, including Joseph Smith.
