Continuing on, back in March of '09, President Obama said he disapproves the notion of earmarks. Amazingly, on 12/16/09, Obama signed a $1.1 trillion dollar spending bill which increases budget spending by 10% for certain government agencies. Included in the bill are 5200 lawmaker earmarks totaling nearly $4 billion. Also, Obama wanted to "bring back" troops from area of operations. Sending another 30,000 troops to Afghanistan will add another $30billion dollars to the National Debt.

With every improvement in the social, we have to account for it as part of the economic. Continuing on, back in March of '09, President Obama said he disapproves the notion of earmarks. Amazingly, on 12/16/09, Obama signed a $1.1 trillion dollar spending bill which increases budget spending by 10% for certain government agencies. Included in the bill are 5200 lawmaker earmarks totaling nearly $4 billion. Also, Obama wanted to "bring back" troops from area of operations. Sending another 30,000 troops to Afghanistan will add another $30billion dollars to the National Debt.

No matter who is in charge, whether Republican or Democrat, America is in a state of disarry. Financially, I don't see the National Debt being resovled anytime soon. At over 12 trillion dollars, I just don't see how any "government plan" is able to accommodate this financial burden. As far as grading Pres. Obama. I will wait another year before I decide whether he is legit or not. Right now, I say he hasn't kept up to what he claimed he would do during the Presidential debate.

That said, I agree with Whoopie on the gay marriage issue; I want to see Obama take a stand for civil rights. I also wasn't happy to see him send 30,000 troops to Afghanistan to fight the so-called "war on terror" when the highest concentration of the taliban is in Syria.

The view doesnt understand our republic too well. Our government is purposefully designed so we take baby steps along the way to improving the social condition. With every improvement in the social, we have to account for it as part of the economic. Obama was a bit idealistic in what he thought he could do in a short amount of time and now he has more information to make sound decisions from instead of from a strictly biased left perspective. We cannot grade him until his first term is up.

unemployment was a problem before obama, its worse now because we are seeing the reprocussions of bush now...grading him harshly only a year into his presidency is simply ridiculous, people are getting restless and need to be more patient, everyone wants instant gratification and you wont get it...it takes time to fix EVERY SINGLE ISSUE thats plaguing the country from the bush era...all of the sudden its obamas fault and all the things bush did wrong is forgotten...im not a democrat either

I'd give him a C. He kept the economy from going from completely under, set a deadline for the bullshit "war on terror" finally, made the White House's policies far less secretive, and made healthcare slightly better...
But on the flip-side, to keep us from going under we've raised our deficit, sending in more troops before the deadline, and went back on some vital promises, not to mention pussed out on making health care reform as it could have been.

No nation has ever survived long under Anarchy or Minarchism. Somalia's government was minimized and they rapidly went from being one of the main African powers to being a hell-hole known for piracy.

First of all, NO country has such a capitalist system like that of the United States (the same system Obama is trying to destroy) Libertarians support capitalism and free market principles 100%, leaving social issues on the table. You must have the image in your mind that libertarians throw these issues up in the air and say "F**k with them". NO libertarian will support anything that is already contrary to our Constitution. weed criminalization is a perfect example of something NOT constitutonal

Libertarians prefer freedom to equality, because with freedom comes true equality. It's like social Darwinism but without the racial aspect. It's not quite Anarchism though, so don't go around calling it that. Minarchism? Borderline Minarchism.
That's not to say that some people calling themselves Libertarians can get a little bit too anarchically inclined, but we don't want to eliminate government altogether. Just the unnecessary parts, so we can focus on the branches we need.

The Federal Government takes your tax money, which in itself is unconstituitional they way we have been taught our entire lives, and uses that money to research the link between alcohol and HIV in chinese prostitutes: $2.6 MILLION to be exact.
THAT is bloated government waste, and just one example.
Minimalist government means more freedom, lower taxes, and in general more prosperity.
I do believe that big corporatism is also evil. I think the scariest possibility is 1984

You're the third person I've seen to admit this. I'm glad you admit to making a mistake in voting for the wrong person to do the job.
The country was swayed too easily by Obama's "charisma" to even begin to look at his faulty plans and so-called "promises." I just hope everyone who voted for Obama realizes their mistakes and votes for someone more qualified to run this country in 2012.

People keep saying that if it were a republican in the white house that elizabeth would be singing a different tune... well of course she would bc she is republican. If it were a rep in the white house then joy, and etc would be the ones crying. So to say that is only showing ignorance. Obama needs to man up & start doing what he PROMISED he would do. I like it that because we don't hate the guy we are worshippers. The guy said he'd do alot of things that he didn't do. However, comparing him to Bush we'll take it with a grain of salt and hopefully during his term he'll do alot of what he promised... if he doesn't we'll elect someone else. However, hating the guy especially in comparision with Bush is hard.. especially when teabaggers, birthers, and truthers are hovering in the brush.

Thank you for finally saying what everybody has been scared to say. Not only do they treat Obama like a celebrity and not like a President but it was the media that got him elected - here's a fine example of it (excluding the young blond woman). And nobody seems to look at the big picture - congress.

Honestly though, Who's country is it? Is it the president's country? Is it the Government's country? or is it Our Country? The Government was not designed to control our lives or make our decisions. They can neither force or restrain entrepreneurship much. It is up to us to fix this country, not the president.
