@LadieJay2832 He is speaking Portuguese, it took me a while to know that too. I am a native spanish speaker, and at the beginning I just couldn't recognise what was he saying, UNTIL I realised it was just Portuguese. At the beginning he says "Haha, you want a banana, you want a banana.. yes, yes.. you want a banana.. haha" that's pretty much what I understood, the rest is not that easy to me :/ Portuguese and Spanish have some very similar words and pronunciations, only some of course!.. :)

if u want a tame iguanan then when you go to buy one if there is a few iguanas at the pet shop handle each of them for a few minute to see which one is the tamess to you and start from there. handling them daily

@jbstoneking Sorry, but this isn't good advice. Iguanas that act "tame" at the pet shop are usually sick. You want the mos alert iguana, which is most likely to be the healthiest, and work with that one every day to tame it down a bit.

GOD!!! he is gorgeous and such a calm one too.. takes the food very gently from you! i would love to have a Iguana but i live in Denmark and it is quite a cold country + my house is hard to keep at a steady temperature because of the changing weather and we got high ceilings...

i miss my iggy. he was no where near as tame a yours. if that was iggy you would of been tail whipped 50 times by now and your finger bit off! He hated cats too,enough actually that he would kill and eat them. I dont know why he was so mean i never mistreated him and always spoiled him.He even had his own bed room!He eventually escaped the room by breaking a window with his tail .when he ran away he was 6.5 ft long ! nice iguana man they are awesome animals mean or not.

Not all iguana's become tame. You have to handle them all the time, even when they are mean. You need to get them used to the fact that people are around them. Even after years of training, you may still end up with a mean lizard. Most iguana's don't tame up, no matter what people try. That being said, I've had both loving ones and bastards! lol, it's all personality really.

@prOpiOnate150 handle it everyday for at least an hr, spend time talking to it. as much as possible, they do take time to tame down, I've had mine since the beginning of Nov, and he is finally calm enough for me to pick up with little to no effort, but still likes to whack me with his tail here and there, we have been through the biting phase, and the tail whipping, but don't let it get away with it..just keep doing what your doing, end on a good note always.
