I would have to agree Matt u do look straight till u started talkin but i still loved the video and i agree about the abortion part..I'm a woman i rather have adoption more than abortion but some women dont think of that because of them bein in such shock..that aint they just cant think of them bein a mother that couldnt take care of their young because they are a child theirself..unless its a grown woman then she still does the same thing!
and im a bisexual woman myself so i know how u feel on the whole homosexuality subject.....and i have a question for you...is it bad for a woman bein bisexual be turned on with two gay men havin sex?
@Demars3...I would have to agree Matt u do look straight till u started talkin but i still loved the video and i agree about the abortion part..I'm a woman i rather have adoption more than abortion but some women dont think of that because of them bein in such shock..that aint they just cant think of them bein a mother that couldnt take care of their young because they are a child theirself..unless its a grown woman then she still does the same thing!
I don't agree with your terming us as 'deviant'. Catholics made us so for the last two thousand years, however for the thirteen-thousand or so before that, we were just as normal as anyone. There are documented historical items showing gay marriage back in the Sumarian days, so be careful how you word things. You almost come off self-hating. I didn't choose to love men, I was born this way, so I would never use that wording to describe myself. Don't follow: lead.
It is deviant merely because most people are heterosexual. In addition, from an evolutionary standpoint, homosexual relationships do not produce offspring, which is truly disadvantageous... indeed, we could use a lot of the positive qualities that are stereotypically found in homosexual persons in many more people... the world would be a better place. There is an argument linking the presence of homosexuals to more fertile female relatives, so perhaps that circumvents the apparent peculiarity.
Actually, according to the Kinsey study, 'most' (80%) are degrees of bisexual with only 20% equally divided into homo and hetero categories. As to an evolutionary standpoint, the same reasons apply as in the animal kingdom; population control. It is natural to have those not pro-creating to stem the flow of off-spring. These points are fairly well known, and if you do some research, you will start to see just how common and 'normal' being gay is. Deviants to me are more the S & M types.
Some very good points there, acciojosh. However, I would not opt to rely on the data obtained from Kinsey's studies as much as one might initially want. Indeed, the research methodologies and statistics are frequently criticized, and I simply wouldn't rely on it as being 100% accurate. Although you say that 80% of people are neither exclusively homo or heterosexual, much less than 10% of people actually recognize and acknowledge their homosexual orientation.
As for your evolutionary argument, natural selection does not select for whole populations. Instead, it selects for individuals in the population, and over time, the population evolves. Even if I am wrong in asserting this, think about it. Let's say that I am a dog and I possess a mutation that makes me not like female dogs. I will not be nearly as likely to pass that genetic element onto any offspring because I will never want to have sex with a female dog. You see where I'm going...
Plus, there are so many other forms of population control (i.e. predator-prey interactions, natural disasters producing bottleneck effects, etc) that this form of which you speak would be rather counterproductive. But good point, nonetheless. And what are the "S & M" types?
Though your dismissal of Kinsey's study is without warrant, as his study is quoted by most, if not all trained psychiatrists today, I will happily go without this as you prefer. I do disagree with your assertation that 'much less than 10% of people' acknowledge their homo-orientation. That is a fairly commonly held statistic. As to the evolutionary standpoint, my standing there was shaky in the least. There are many studies on the matter, none conclusive. However, it is a well known fact...
... That homosexuality has existed in our species, as well as rats, penguins, dolphins, giraffe, etc. for as long as we have written record. This means that no matter how we justify it, or how we try and lay claim to its existence, it does exist and it is not a deviation of the norm by scientific standards. It is a deviation only to the established 'accepted' standard created by society, though well known through literature to be ignored for all of the time it was unaccepted.
No matter the case, I was more concerned with your own apparently belief that you are a deviant. What a horrible way to think of yourself. If you truly feel this, enough to argue the matter, I see no point in continuing the debate. I personally just do not agree, and hope that it does not lead you to have as many issues as it would seem capable of doing. Good luck, mate.
Well, I appreciate your concern, but I really have no issues with it. I do not see myself as a deviant, I merely see homosexual behavior as something that is a deviation from the norm as perhaps, as you have stated, defined by society. Even if it is not a deviation in terms of evolution, etc, it is still a deviation in terms of what a majority of the societies in the past and present have defined as "normal sexual behavior". But, don't worry, I'm perfectly happy with who I am :)
Mr. Matt! Take good care of my friend - you are right- he is a "sessy cupcake", and a close friend. Thank You for mentioning "My Voice Matters" , I know "Sessy" appreciates that. "Sessy" is very happy to be with you, and you seem to feel the same way - how wonderful! Two people who actually really care for each other! Be good to him, I know he will reciprocate with all the warmth and faithfulness a "real" person will do. Ask him who Llazlo is. Warmest Regards!
Thank you for the warm regards! I will surely take care of him, and I will always be good to him. I love him! This is just a thought, but are you Larry? Eric has mentioned you a few times.
Hi Matt! Yes, I am nonother than Larry. I usually go by Llazlo when I'm "socializing". Eric and I talk about every Monday and Friday as kind of a mutual friend support mechanism. I know Eric thinks a WHOLE LOT of you, and I'm really glad you are taking good care of him. I respect him tremendously, and if you are his friend and lover, then I share that same respect for you, until you can prove me wrong. So-when I say with warm regards, I mean with WARM regards, Matt. Take care and be well.
Wow, you seem to be rather genuinely kind and loyal. I really respect you for that, and from what I know, you are a very nice guy. You take care as well, and it has been nice getting to communicate, however crudely, with you.
i mean, i got the email. so i know what the orignal comment was. anyways i am what you call rude, but i don't apologize.
and matt, i was just rofl'ing bc this is a whole different side of you that i didn't see much of here on campus. i'm glad that you're happy and finding more about yourself.
also, the "sessy cupcakes" made me laugh a lot, but with you not at you. in a good way, you know? lol
Oh.. sorry deleted your last comment by accident. How do I define sexy? That which I am attracted toward in a sexual manner. I didn't address that in the video, though, did I?
Can I have another talking video?
