Obviously you don't know who was booing Wides..it was pretty much all of us season ticket holders that have watched him be a joke of a NHL defenseman. Like when he decided to get undressed by Ottawa....and then skates into the ref or against Philly...stick breaks...he just stops and gives up a break-a-way goal

@jml816 Just look at his stats the past 18 months he's a negitive more often than not. As for the Briere penalty shot..It's only a penalty shot if he allows the guy to skate completely by him and then takes him down..Which is exactly what he did. Stick breaks...guy skates from in front of him right by him..with the puck and in on a break-a-way. If he just gets in his way he takes an interference call..and with the B's penalty kill so good..I'd take 100 times...rather than letting a guy walk in.

@Townie5lax As a true Bruins fan i miss Wideman alot. Sure he was a minus alot but he wasnt a defensive defenseman. He was more of a offensive defenseman. Also dont forget he was the Bruins leading scorer in the playoffs in 2010 and he was crucial in some games that got us to the second round.

wideman for horton... talk about a great deal for the bruins. you cant just keep players around especially when you can get much better value for them and can easily be replaced. but hey, if you want to convince yourself that a minus player was benificial for the team then by all means do it. just dont expect anyone rational to agree with you. pretty sure the defense is better than it has ever been with wideman in the lineup, easily replaced, not missed by most fans.

I was at the game when we were playing the panthers the other day and people were booing Wideman. That's just having no class. He did a ton of good for us during his tenure in Boston.
