actually I'm into thrash/death with a lot of progressive stuff, don't really use drop tunings but had a couple of c- drop riffs in my previous band also long time ago played in standard A lol
bought it used, about £130. made in china, set in neck which is apparently mahogany. not really sure.. really bright sounding guitar, not like my all mahogany dean.the bridge pickup was dimarzio's super distortion, but I think it was faulty... Replaced with a "no name" zebra by dean and that is what on the recording. It helped a lot, I prefer it more than the previous one. the neck pickup as far as I know is a custom built, hand wired
Thats awsome man!, im hoping to get one of these in the next few years used, sorry one more question when you say re freting, do you mean making the neck have those white bars on the side to make it smooth ( sorry thats the best i can describe it!)
actually it is a head and a cab (half stack), I love the tone, the clean channel is not to great, but it all depend on the type of guitar you're using and your needs :) and the settings of course, coz the amp's got 2 inputs na the texture control, so you can get amaizing sounds out of that :) and remember about the cables :) throw away your cheap ones first :)

refretting means replacing frets (those "white bars" :) with new ones :) time consuming stuff...

I was referring to the Peavey/Marshall combo. So if I'm using a Les paul with EMGs, bad clean tones?

combo it's when you have an amp with a built in speaker, but when you've got a cab and a head on the top of it it's called half stack :)

yeah, it's Boss SD-2, pretty rare, I used it only for boost, all sound comes from Valveking :)
