@Yyyyzyyy,wtf?ever hear about high-pressure eruptions?anyway,if the government did do this, then they wouldnt allow photographers to be there...and why would they destroy a landmark?
this video is a lie, the photographer of these pic name was gary rosenquist, he was at bear meadows,8 miles from the mountain..idk if its saying that this dude took these pics or not, but he didnt, i was 10 years old, and he was my step fathers brother, our whole lives were based around this growing up.the first place they came after escaping was our house, we were having a backyard bbq in tacoma wash. it was fn intense, they were so freaked out.everyone was out in the street looking
1:16 - 1:25, 1:36 - 1:49 are NOT one bit fake at all. I was 10 years old when it blew, though never lived in the Pacific Northwest, it was all on radio and news that day which was Sunday. I saw this on television on the news all week after the eruption, this is no fake. Imagine being either or both a reporter and/or a photographer being just miles from that mountain and recording ever second of it, then running from it to live to both tell about it and showing to everyone the recordings.
@StarkMK1 The video is fake, nobody was recording it at the time, the eruption wasn't fake at all (duh). In this full video, they do admit at the end that it was a computer simulation.

Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.
Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have successfuly framed themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
It doesn't matter if it's video or still frames pieced together. It still shows the point of the video which is one of the largest landslides in recorded history at the moment Mt. St. Helens explodes. Guess that's just not good enough for the younger generation who probably wasn't even alive when Helens exploded.
@TheAwesomeLabyrinth Because in this case, it's true - the photographer reeled off 10 or so still shots and then ran for it, barely making it out. Those 10 shots have been interpolated to make a false video. There was no actual video from the immediate scene. A video camera in 1980 was not something you could carry in your pocket.
@antimatterXXXIII The images are real, so yes it is real. If you're talking about the speed at which it happens in the video, then it's pretty accurate, as the landslide was going at over 250 km/hr.
@rickcain2320 Actually, the danger in volcano ash does not lie in the particles being sharp or actually causing tissue damage in any way - rather as the ash builds up in your lounges it binds with the moisture present and forms a slurry that causes you to slowly suffocate. In relation, heavy coughing may cause tissue damage to throat and longues, but it has nothing to do directly with the ash.
@stuartl385 that's what describes inflammation of the lungs but the one i'm talking about was named after a woman and it describes the disease that causes rapid growth of bone, causing tremendous pain and is fatal after 3 weeks.
@MissShagrath Worth the power of thousands of atomic bombs? Haha that amount of energy would ruin the world. The volcano only produced about 25 Megatons of energy the explosion was 40% of it. An atomic bomb (nowadays) can produce up to 3 Megatons of energy
@AccessDenied55 Mt St Helens had several minor erruptions less than ten years ago. People on routine flights between Reno and Seattle were able to witness the events from the air, from a safe distance, of course. During a flight from Reno to Seattle in Dec. 2006, I saw a massive plume rising from Mt St Helens, but I do not know whether it was steam or ash. Mt Baker is the Cascade Volcano to watch now. I see it daily. It is currently very quiet but active. People ski on it.

60 Miles away from the Volcano explosion should be a safe enough distance. You should have enough time to load the water, food, family and pets into the car and haul ass towards Texas for a 30 day camping trip.. Don't worry about house insurance, it doesn't cover natural disasters.
@MissShagrath Yes, the gas typically travels at 60 mph, this gives you about enough time to throw the kids and water in the car and head in the opposite direction... you may escape it, and you may not.. but why sit around and do nothing? Now, lets say that luck is on your side and the gases are not traveling towards you much like that small town near Mt. St. Helens that lucked out due to the wind blowing the volcanic gases and crap in the air away... 60 miles would save you from a direct blast.
Oh my gosh! See those plumes of smoke rising from the top of the landslide! Those are clearly explosions and this was clearly caused by the United States government!
