  • then I was like "FUUuuuuuuu"

  • @tjtheplay actually 60 people died lol

  • eat dick

  • mi cabaña se jodio

  • @Yyyyzyyy,wtf?ever hear about high-pressure eruptions?anyway,if the government did do this, then they wouldnt allow photographers to be there...and why would they destroy a landmark?

  • I wonder if Rainier will top this when it finally goes off.

  • @Tokeupbro You don't want to see the damage it would cause, that would be awful. And would be such a loss for beautiful mountain.

  • this video is a lie, the photographer of these pic name was gary rosenquist, he was at bear meadows,8 miles from the mountain..idk if its saying that this dude took these pics or not, but he didnt, i was 10 years old, and he was my step fathers brother, our whole lives were based around this growing up.the first place they came after escaping was our house, we were having a backyard bbq in tacoma wash. it was fn intense, they were so freaked out.everyone was out in the street looking

  • bootleg fireworks sheeeit

  • 1:11 to get to the sliding

  • 1:16 - 1:25, 1:36 - 1:49 are NOT one bit fake at all. I was 10 years old when it blew, though never lived in the Pacific Northwest, it was all on radio and news that day which was Sunday. I saw this on television on the news all week after the eruption, this is no fake. Imagine being either or both a reporter and/or a photographer being just miles from that mountain and recording ever second of it, then running from it to live to both tell about it and showing to everyone the recordings.

  • rest in piece, those who fell beneath the ashes

  • @clairmontcreep Only 54 people died. They tried evacuating, but some idiots wanted to stay because they wanted to continue their job or whatever.

  • @tjtheplay thought it was 57 that died?

  • @xTurnDaMusicUp eeh whatever, you're probably right.

    around 54-60 people died.

  • So it's fake? It's the closest thing they have to an actual video. I thought it looked pretty cool.

  • Dunno why people care that it's "fake." It's a good quality reproduction & is interesting to watch.

  • pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

  • Nothin fake about that ya fuckin retard. You shoulda seen it puss nuts

  • @StarkMK1 The video is fake, nobody was recording it at the time, the eruption wasn't fake at all (duh). In this full video, they do admit at the end that it was a computer simulation.

  • @Clawscon It's not necessarily fake, it's just an interpolation of photographs that were actually taken there.

  • then all hell broke lose

  • I live by it it's real haters

  • Honey Get the KIDS Lets Go-Aww those people r dead- wow look at how cool the clouds r righ- Guys you left me (looks bak) and its commin towards Me AGHHHHHHHHHHHH " Lol

  • that looooooooks soooooooo fake -_-

  • @Labl0veR wow you look so fake i can't believe you even exist because of your fakeness, get a life b!tch, go somewhere else with your ignorant comments

  • earth is fucking AWESOME

  • o shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • 1:36-1:49 OMG!!!

  • That was stud why didn't they show us the rest of it falling down. Selfish... It's like someone says a cool thin that happened on tape but don't even show it to you it's cool but it's like you explained everything for no reason. DUH

  • Not real: nobody shot this video. This is CGI footage constructed from the original collection of still photos. "Unbelievable footage"

For some real videos see Unzen Pyroclastic

  • It doesn't matter if it's video or still frames pieced together. It still shows the point of the video which is one of the largest landslides in recorded history at the moment Mt. St. Helens explodes. Guess that's just not good enough for the younger generation who probably wasn't even alive when Helens exploded.

  • why thefuck do you all say this shit isnt real it is no one would waste there time of makeing it not real

  • @KOSMICxJaMMeR so true, even if its of pictures put together, its the real thing and its still what happened! so well said!

  • gay

  • Why do people always have to stop filming/photographing at the best parts?

  • All video is a series of still frames, people. Old school film, digital video - all of it, ever. This is a very slow, low fidelity film.

  • @TasteeTheeRainnbow look up Keith Ronnholm and Gary Rosenquist.

  • They say the Hawaii islands do this too. Turns my stomach.

  • @JoeCavy4 Sure, if you live in Hawaii. These are just hiccup volcanoes, though. Yellowstone's caldera turns my stomach.

  • This video is not real, it's reconstructed from the photographer's still frames by interpolation.

  • @antimatterXXXIII how come people like you always say shit like that, believe it or not shit like this does happen dumbass.

  • @TheAwesomeLabyrinth Because in this case, it's true - the photographer reeled off 10 or so still shots and then ran for it, barely making it out. Those 10 shots have been interpolated to make a false video. There was no actual video from the immediate scene. A video camera in 1980 was not something you could carry in your pocket.

  • @dirac33 oh, ok

  • @antimatterXXXIII get the fuck out of here, mr. i know the world.

  • @antimatterXXXIII Which makes it how much less valid/real? (in the pre digital era ALL "moving" pictures were a series of still frames)

  • @666popey666 Are you fucking new?? It's not a video! It's a series of 10 still frames! Videos and films are 24 frames a second, even now!

  • @dirac33

Still doesn't make it less valid in any way. Although it's obviously FAR from a video's framerate

  • good for you .... * golf clap *

  • @antimatterXXXIII

It is real. It's real pictures of a real event, combined into a slideshow to make it look as it did when it happened.

  • @antimatterXXXIII The images are real, so yes it is real. If you're talking about the speed at which it happens in the video, then it's pretty accurate, as the landslide was going at over 250 km/hr.

  • @antimatterXXXIII Your not a real person! Your just a construction of your parent's interpolation. Stop hating on the video dude.

  • @antimatterXXXIII how isnt it real?

  • @Skydogg5555

What you see is real, but it isn't recored by camera but it's constructed out of photo's.

  • infront of north flank lol u screwed

I already knoew that it colapsed before i watched video

  • infront of north flank lol u screwed

  • The ash is uniquely toxic because it is made up of very tiny razor sharp pieces of rock, that will destroy your lungs.

  • @rickcain2320 So you seem to be the wikipedia i was looking for then maybe?

Good seing someone uses their time on weird information. i mean come on dude i havent laught that much since i was a little boy

  • @rickcain2320 Pneumonoultrasilicovolcanoconiosis?

  • @ajcpianoforte That's from inhaling Silica dust, not sure if it comes from volcanic eruptions, it's usually contracted by miners.

  • @rickcain2320

It isn't toxic unless it's a chemical reaction.

  • @rickcain2320 nice to know!

  • @rickcain2320 Actually, the danger in volcano ash does not lie in the particles being sharp or actually causing tissue damage in any way - rather as the ash builds up in your lounges it binds with the moisture present and forms a slurry that causes you to slowly suffocate. In relation, heavy coughing may cause tissue damage to throat and longues, but it has nothing to do directly with the ash.

  • @rickcain2320 it also forms into cement when it touches blood.

  • @rickcain2320 thats if the heat from it doesnt kill you first !!

  • @rickcain2320

...by the time it reached canada it was dust. the dangerous factor depends on how close you are to the initial eruption.

  • @rickcain2320 like moon dust

  • @rickcain2320 there's a name for that disease it causes. do you remember what it is?

  • @RezViper pneomonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconeosis

  • @stuartl385 that's what describes inflammation of the lungs but the one i'm talking about was named after a woman and it describes the disease that causes rapid growth of bone, causing tremendous pain and is fatal after 3 weeks.

  • @MissShagrath Worth the power of thousands of atomic bombs? Haha that amount of energy would ruin the world. The volcano only produced about 25 Megatons of energy the explosion was 40% of it. An atomic bomb (nowadays) can produce up to 3 Megatons of energy

  • @vandalgonz Mt St Helens - 24 megatons. Bomb dropped on Hiroshima - 15 Kilotons. Do the math.

  • @Djehuti8 Yes, atomic bombs 70 years ago maybe, but not atomic bombs now. Hence the reason I said they are approx. 3 Megatons of power now.

  • I hope it erupts again in my lifetime or one of the other Cascade Volcanoes...

  • @AccessDenied55 Mt St Helens had several minor erruptions less than ten years ago. People on routine flights between Reno and Seattle were able to witness the events from the air, from a safe distance, of course. During a flight from Reno to Seattle in Dec. 2006, I saw a massive plume rising from Mt St Helens, but I do not know whether it was steam or ash. Mt Baker is the Cascade Volcano to watch now. I see it daily. It is currently very quiet but active. People ski on it.

  • As if it wasn't amazing enough they add effects to the eruption

  • @unicornstabber886 It's called sarcasm...and how do you know he's a muslim? shitwipe

  • @johnwayne19892007 please, dont reply because then u would be starting something that ended 3 weeks ago and u would be acting like a 3 year-old. u dont know if it was sarcasm so stop acting like a smartalic. and get some of ur own words, u annoying little prick

  • @unicornstabber886 You're just upset because i made you look like the ignoramus you truly are. I'll drop it now sir...Good day.

  • o_o

  • @ ArizonaChris - Mount St. Helens destroyed everything within 250 square miles you dope!

  • 60 Miles away from the Volcano explosion should be a safe enough distance. You should have enough time to load the water, food, family and pets into the car and haul ass towards Texas for a 30 day camping trip.. Don't worry about house insurance, it doesn't cover natural disasters.

  • @ArizonaChris96 yea, they call it "an act of god". good way to get out of a tree falling on your house, those sneaky bastards

  • Comment removed

  • @MissShagrath (wink) 60 miles darling..

  • @ArizonaChris96 Ever heard about pyroclastic flow?

  • @MissShagrath Yes, the gas typically travels at 60 mph, this gives you about enough time to throw the kids and water in the car and head in the opposite direction... you may escape it, and you may not.. but why sit around and do nothing? Now, lets say that luck is on your side and the gases are not traveling towards you much like that small town near Mt. St. Helens that lucked out due to the wind blowing the volcanic gases and crap in the air away... 60 miles would save you from a direct blast.

  • @MissShagrath Maybe yes maybe no but the blast was worth the power of thousands of atomic bombs. It's scary

  • @MissShagrath That little small town near Mt. St. Helens is called "Cougar" its located about 12 miles south of Mt. St. Helens

  • @ArizonaChris96 I know

  • Oh my gosh! See those plumes of smoke rising from the top of the landslide! Those are clearly explosions and this was clearly caused by the United States government!

  • @Yyyyzyyy i will destroy everything you love.

  • yes that is real.. i cant remember the guys name that recoreded it but im pretty sure it was a cam just recording the mountain everyday.

  • Comment removed

  • @djfrankevega His Name Was Gary Rosenquist

  • That's not animation. That's what was actually seen through cameras.

  • @GreenmanArchery there was only a few frames from a person taking a photograph and quickly winding the film foward. This has been digitally mashed together ( quite well I may add)

  • @TheFluffyDuck Ah, so this is not real time. Still, that is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen on video. I would have been so scared to be next to that mountain. At that point you can't even run from it. Its so much bigger than you and things are happening across such great distances you just have to hope and pray you aren't to close.

  • animation

  • Is it real?

    I think this is animation.

  • why do i have to look at sebastian vettels hair problems first???

  • that cant be fucking real holy shit

  • My God...

  • wow
