@Thomasmark92 Do you mean the "Mummy always told me to eat my Swedes" one? I think it's just that "swedes" (vegetables) are called "rutabaga" or "Swedish turnip" in the USA so the joke just wouldn't work.

@emilylime2006 yes, but Broadway is the most famous place for musicals. If you are on Broadway then you are the best. Broadway is the name people know. Not San Francisco stages or London. It's Broadway. And my friend saw Wicked in London and said it didn't hold a candle to the Broadway one.

@hawksong15 No of course it wouldnt have, because its and american show. In the same way, British shows will never be as good on Broadway as on West End. And the West End is just as famous as Broadway for musicals - not unusual though that within America, only Broadway is common. But to the broader theatre-goer the West End is just as big. Broadway is a street, West End is a district, so geographically it's physically bigger here too. Longest running Bway shows are British as well:)
