sambocek22drummer: Well, it's an ash drum, 14x6". Rims are made of a combination of many woods (I don't remember them exactly). The sound is very aggressive and loud. You don't even need to do a rimshot to cut through loud music. But it is also VERY sensitive - especially considering it's 6" depth. Tuning is very simple and it sounds good almost instantly when you make the both heads tightened evenly - it doesn't matter how tight they are, it sounds good at almost all ranges.

Always been a big Tama fan. I'm a Zildjian man, but we have very similar set-ups--lots of splashes and Chinas. I have timbales on the left instead of a tom. Nice kit!

axeaxeaxe6: Really? It is almost always in the shop where I often go and there really is NOT a big selection of Sabian cymbals. And it's kinda cheap.
It has a great sound but it's INCREDIBLY loud. Really, this cymbals rips ears! I have to muffle it with Cympad or play it really soft.
