This anime was worthless. YES I understood it, AT THE END. Fucking Hinduism ending, the two of them reuniting in Nirvana, mankind ending. Everyone was fucking useless, all the main characters died (even THOSE two, there's no fresh water out at sea ya know), and none of the story had relevant plot.

Its not a Type A, or a Type B (Moe) anime. So that really makes it a Type C (Religious). I hate type C even more than I hate type B!

@ProtoMan893 That shouldn't be the question here.... It should be why is this show under-rated. I mean look at the amount of viewers and look at the like/unlike bar. For so many people and yet no one click on to rate it. Wat gives... at least half of the total viewers should be on those bars.

Sorry I cant help you there but if your interested there's another series set in the same universe called King of Braves Gaogaigar and a few characters from Betterman turn up in an OVA sequal to it called Grand Gloris Gathering. Be warned Gaogaigar is very different to this.

It falls under that general "bio-mecha"genre.

Also, Betterman takes place in the same universe as Gao Gai Gar.

This is possibly the best work of anime of all time, well on par with dead leaves, but that was a movie. Either way this show is so original, and theres only one cliche which this show is in, and thats "student becomes involved in something big thats top secret".

I know but it's true, Papillon Noir, who was in GaoGaiGar FINAL was introduced in a Betterman audio drama following the show's run, there was also a 12 episode re-edit of FINAL The King of Braves GaoGaiGar FINAL -Grand Glorious Gathering, which was dubbed a "reimagining" of FINAL, adding flashbacks from the original television series and minor elements from Betterman to further connect the two series.

Child Hinoki looks like Hana, and Ushii seems to be Keita's friend in this series. Indeed shares the same world with GaoGaiGar... But I want to see all 26 episodes and Project Z hopefully.
