Hey I followed everything you did perfectly, and I'm also aware of how to port forward and all that good stuff on my own. The only thing I'm having trouble with is the 3074 port it keeps saying this port is already in use, and when I check it out I see that my PS3 is using it and I'm not sure how to change it so my Xbox can use it.

when i put in 192.168.0.1 nothing loads, when i foned BT i get told to put in 192.168.1.1 n it loads the netgear site no problem BUT this is where i have the problem.....where as you have the 9 options to choose from in the ADVANCED section, i only have 7 n portforwarding and porttriggering are not there to choose from.

any ideas??

@robot4513 try disconnecting ur router then ur modem

connect ur modem and wait a while for it to be connected

then connect ur router and go do a check on ur xbox live connection to see if the yellow triangle comes out or not

@grulkesam yes..type 192.168.1.1 in your browser and if it brings you to your router login page then....

in system->network manual settings

ip: 192.168.1.15

dns: 255.255.255.0

gateway: 192.168.1.1

it sets most of it up for you anways..

ok im using a westell gateway and it says global port range and i out 3074 and in the 2nd box 3074 then it says base host port and i dont know what to put on there but it lets me add 5 numbers to it, and then after it says protocol which do i have to click on TCP or UDP?

help my connection has been crap for the last weak or so. When i go on Mw2 it says my nat is open but then i play and i have crazy lag. so i looked into port forwarding. Did every thing you did here.

my settings are

1 xbox1 TCP/UDP 88 88 192.168.0.4

2 xbox2 TCP/UDP 3047 3047 192.168.0.4

the Upnp is on

the only thing i dont have is the DMZ on when i do it shut off my internet all the way. my xbox setting are manual and match up im getting a yellow triangle when i test it

i might want to add on about the triangle thing. i use wirless and i have four bars and it connects to the internet and then xbox live but it pops up and error about my nat being moderate. i have double checked all my setting over and over does if any one has any ideas help me out

@slackerfish19 put your xbox settings to auto. check the IP address your xbox assigns you, and use that for your router settings. Manual messes things up.
